Lex cath wins if they play to their capabilities

Sk should not take anything for granit. They better be ready and put forth their best effort or they may be sent home wondering what could have been. If they play hard and together, I see them as the heavy favorites. But strange things can happen

Who is on their game that night? That might be the only question. Both teams are very good. I think the same as I thought of the west Jess, Norte dame game. Sacred heart must contain the two headed monster. If they are able to do that I give sacred heart the slightest edge. They played earlier to a tie so both teams know what to expect. I don't think we will hear comments like we did last week that west jess will be overwhelmed with the speed and athleticism

Ok. I don't have a dog in this fight but the pictures don't lie. Photo shows ball on girls foot and the highlands girl is onside, 2nd photo shows ball kicked and the highlands girl is onside. The video or where the ref standing isn't going to change the fact. The only thing that would tell me is the official is poorly positioned and not doing his job properly This day and age with all the technology it's harder on officials to make these sudden judgement calls and be 100% all the time. It's just a shame that such a critical call effects so many people. I for one would never officiate or coach now days so my hat off to all those that do. But dang if your not 100% sure don't make that call As far as coaches yelling. I want a coach that will fight for their players. The official can very easily stop all the talking if they choose to do so.

Game is tomorrow night at Norte dame. Don't know what time. I assume the start time is early enough to finish before dark West Jessamine playing great soccer lately. i have seen both teams play and I can tell you this will be an interesting game. ND will have to control the ball or west jess can pull an upset on ND home turf

I thought these teams played each other in the bluegrass games? If they did it doesn't matter now as I'm sure a lot has changed since then for both teams.

Sk has a little tougher schedule according to the Mather rankings. I have not seen Bethlehem play so hard for me to comment directly. According to a few that have seen both in limited games, I was told that they felt sk was better. I haven't seen sk a lot this year but they have talent and speed as well. They have been hampered by some injuries but they were early in the season so they haven't had to adjust much from what I have been told. They also said they felt it could be either teams game and thought it could come down to whoever plays the best that night. The Zoeller girl could be the difference in the game.

There are some additional details that you left out that helps make a little more sense Highlands - strength of schedule is very strong. Also coming off wins against sacred heart, DuPont manual and ncc in recent past. Also impressive victories against top teams in ky and Ohio . Probably should be ranked higher Simon Kenton - only 2 loses on year with recent wins against Lexington Catholic, Tate's creek and Highlands. Loses are to Notre Dame and Tate's Creek from earlier in year Norte Dame. - since win over Simon Kenton they are 3 - 3. Losses against Mount Norte Dame Ohio, Sacred Heart and Tate's Creek (all recently) NCC - only 2 losses on year. Both recent against Highlands and Murray Assumption - 5 losses on year with 3 of them recently to Tate's Creek, Lexington Catholic and pounded by Sacred Heart I think these polls are pretty good and provide more concrete reasoning than most of us that just vote by our heart. I don't always agree but if you look at the above teams recent resume's it's hard to argue where they stack up against each other right now

I follow your logic but if that is the case then Trame should be removed from coaching. He too, was an assistant on the staff and perhaps failed to bring things to the administrations attention? Of course I have no proof of any of this but it would be odd to say some assistants witnessed things while others didn't and therefore I make certain hiring decisions I would assume there is a lot of pressure on the administration because Kenton county (Scott leadership in particular) seems to have no problem throwing someone else under the bus for self preservation. If they make a convenient or bad hire then the Scott principle will co time to show poor judgement and sooner or later the superintendent is going to have to be dealt with for allowing such fiascos to continue and not dealing with it appropriately Lad thing, in my line of work anytime we deal with an employee issue we have to smoke sure we are 100% consistent. if a Kenton county employee ever exhibits similar alleged behavior I would think they have to be treated accordingly. If you ever ever cuss are you terminated from your position? Are their different levels of cursing? Are certain individuals just slapped on the wrist? I've her of another Kenton county coach allegedly being reprimanded for cursing so what's the difference? I dunno, this whole thing seems really strange. Of course all of what I mentioned above could be inaccurate but their are a lot of slippery situations it appears

I agree with pioneer pride. Coach O has a tremendous influence on the sk ladies program as does Brenden. I give credit to the head coach that allows this to occur and is very intelligent in recognizing the strengths he has on his bench and allowing tham to be heard. Sk has one of the strongest staffs in the state and coach O is a significant part of that. She and Brendan have very strong resume's to support that statement. As pioneer pride stated, SK's program is heavily influenced by the women coaches throughout all levels of the program

Did you ever watch her play for Jenkins? I have at least 5+ times and have to say I did have the same thought process as you. Then the more times I watched her the more I was impressed. I'm not convinced she will be a huge success at wky but she was one heck of a high school player. Very much like Richie farmer's success But to answer your question. I don't know if their are two players on the list that could do that playing 1 on 5. If you didn't see her play then you don't realize the unique skill she developed in splitting a double team and scoring.

I think you are insinuating that Creech's numbers are so high because of the very poor competition that she plays. I can tell you their are many many poor teams in Jefferson County, Western Ky and quiet a few in NKY. Basically throughout the state. The Harlan County girl is highly rated but I'm not sure I see her playing top level competition in the state. Just saying, she couldn't have performed any better against the weak competition so what could she possibly do to be recognized? As I stated above, give me a list of girls that would perform at her level in her situation then I'll buy in.

Numbers are always looked at regardless of what we may want to think. End of day we don't have any kids on the list that averaging 4pt per game 1 assist 2 rebounds.... That said, someone tell me a player on the list that would have the level of success Creech has had if you were to put them in her position on the Jenkins team. I have never seen a kid, male or female, have the ability to consistently take on double and triple teams, jump thru the pressure and finish at a very high percentage. Creech should not be viewed differently because of her team, she should be viewed by how she performed. That performance was remarkable and could not be duplicated by 70% of the girls on the list. If I put Creech on Blair Greens team then she would not only improve the team, but easily exceed Green's performance. I can list others as well. Agree or Disagree?

I disagree with this statement Clyde. No doubt there are better 'teams' but to say a top player can't come of that area you don't have to look back very far in history to know that's a false statement. With that said, Answer this question. Which player on the BGP list could put up the number that Creech has on the Jenkins team? Blair Green.... no way Berger..... nope Neice...... not even close Mcune.... nope Robins.... nope. I think you get the point.

Based on his recent approach to things. I personally think he too should be removed from all coaching. I wouldn't want my son to think that's how you do things

I have actually watched 7 on the list play. To be honest, not having crèech listed is absurd. I'm not getting into who she should replace but EASILY in top 5. I'll take her on my team and boley and you pick your next top 7 and I will win hands down 9 out of 10 times.

I'm still trying to figure out what was wrong with NKU. Attendance very comparable to WKU when non local teams and local teams were playing (comparing apples to apples). NKY area has more to offer than WKU, Frankfort, Lexington or Louisville. The girls loved playing in the arena; much nicer than Diddle or Frankfort. So what am I missing other local agendas?

Thread does say"....season favorites". Then the description underneath says NKY. It's all good though. If you want to discuss a specific topic then start a new thread, it's really simple. Sticking with the thread topic, all three of those schools are in NKY.

Absolutely correct, each one of these kids have chosen to go to sk as has other kids have chosen to go to Dixie or Scott That's the kids and parents choice.

Trimble def showed up in force and their girls believed they were going to win. Great win for that team and community. They now need to refocus and go with the same mind set at the state tournament and represent the 8th region.

I guess you should start deleting. I'm not aware of one kid living outside Kenton county. I could be wrong but please share.

I'm not giving him a free pass but he is rather consistent in his outlandish comments but that's what the block feature is for. This is when you find the high character folks and I'm sure highland is so very proud of one another high school team. That said, plain and simple. Sk had a bad game at the wrong time. To win tough regions and tournament game things have to go your way and you have to have some luck. So just didn't have it tonight Tremble is a talented and hungry squad and deserve the attention their about to get Fortunately for the majority of the sk girls they get another swing at it Rcc9 and jot.
