  1. I would agree with that assessment except for 1 caveat. HC has 20+ seniors so the subs are experienced players also.
  2. If the play in the regional finals, I'm predicting a very different result.
  3. HC plays really good D and its hard to defend the big backs at the same time. You can't key on 1 because the other will run wild.
  4. I guess you haven't seen the kids at HC... You should check them out you mite be impressed.
  5. I think Holy Cross will win their region because they will ride the Dynamic Duo to the final 4.
  6. Same team different game plan... There should be a rematch in the regional finals if both teams takes care of business.
  7. That's an easy one, because the High School experience is more important than the High School football experience. Holy Cross came highly recommended from very close friends. Abernathy has been at HC since the 6th grade while he still played football in Cincy. Williams & Barnes came to Holy Cross after it was recommended by Abernathy. They played on the same AAU bball team.
  8. Barnes played for the Mt. Airy Chargers. They weren't that good be he was a monster back then on those teams.
  9. Monalo Caldwell and Abernathy were in the same backfield for 4 years. They played on one of the most talented football teams that I've ever seen. They played in the most talented league I've ever seen. The kids listed below played on the same pee-wee team called the Hilltop Hawks. Monalo Cadlwell - Colerain Tyree Montgomery - Mt.Healthy Darrell Williams - Mt.Healthy Justice Walker - Mt.Healthy Frankie Steward - North College Hill Sam Edmonds - Moeller Christian Watkins - Moeller Terrell Harris - Aiken Donzelle Tuggle - Withrow Leondre Dean - Withrow Jaylin Williams - Holy Cross Xavier Abernathy - Holy Cross
  10. Since you brought it up did you know that Barnes, Abernathy & Williams were coveted by GCL & GMC schools. I bet you didn't know that they all played Pee-Wee and middle school ball in Cincy. For the record what GCL RB has the measurables that Barnes has?
  11. Barnes and Abernathy did not play offense in the 4th qtr.
  12. Jackson from Conner doesn't believe that. Ask him because me and his pops have talked about it.
  13. No I'm saying Abernathy is would be the best RB on the team.
  14. If any of the RB's you thing are better than Barnes would switch teams with him they would never be heard from again.
  15. Wow!!! so you just don't know how good he is. Well if you ask the players in NKY you might be surprise how wrong they think you are. I spent time with a couple of SK players at the HC & Lloyd game and they think Barnes is the best they've every seen. They also think Abernathy is the best they've ever played against. Your evaluation seems a little bias towards the 6a schools. Someone told me today that the HC 1-2 punch at RB is the best they've seen in 20 years. Barnes is Bo Jackson-esque and Bo and Eric Dickerson ran up-right throughout their careers. He averages 11.3 yards per carry.
  16. You do realize that the noise was on HC's side of the field and not interfering with the Lloyd signals. Annoying the other team's fans is a bonus.
  17. Why would you say he's not? Have you seen him play in person?
  18. Fans can make whatever noise they want in the stands to distract a team as long as it stays in the stands. Annoying the other teams fans is just a bonus.
  19. I'll be at the Cooper v Conner game this evening to check out the actions. I was at the Ryle v SK game. Ryle is nice & Chisholm is a hell of a player, but the Barnes kid is hands down the best RB in NKY maybe the Tri-State.
