Hey I'm trying to keep it light.

So let me get this straight there is a high school offense where you stand a player in the corner to take away a defender and run your offense with 4 players? The reality is that HC runs a jump shooting offense that depends on the wing players to get open to receive the ball to take a shot. When your wings are limited athletically that offense gets bogged down when the defense can just stand next to a player and take him out out of the game. Meanwhile the PG is forced to dribble the ball into the ground because he doesn't have anyone to pass it to. Apparently HC doesn't practice attacking the rim because, for the most part we don't finish at the rim very well.

Lameier is a backup center and doesn't play much on a jump shooting team. Abernathy didn't dress because he was out of town for the break. The other 3 all had at least 1 basket.

That kid can actually shoot the ball pretty well. He's been a fill-in player on our AAU team for years.

Besides being able to make a wide open 3, what other bball skill does he posses? It's not his fault that he's a limited player. When you don't have to work hard to play there's no need to work hard.

Parker Zimmerman is a better player because he's a complete player.

Simply put the problem with HC is the varsity team is not coached very well. I have different bball philosophies than Schrand. I demand my players are fundamentally sound, take care of my ball and play defense with the most effort humanly possible. The seniors on that team have won a lot of games together in the spring and summer over the past 4 years and I think its a shame that DADDY BALL is ruining their senior year.

Its a shame what's happening at HC this year. Our seniors deserve better than this.

If we did we would be lying.

It would be a great Xmas gift to see the obvious changes made, but the recent history of this team doesn't provide me much hope.

5 out of the 7 seniors played AAU together won a lot of games... They don't get to play together at HC... The head coach has a different system and philosophies than they are use to playing.

I feel bad for the HC seniors, they won a lot of games together since the 8th grade. Its tough watching those lose night in and night out.

I believe in coaching the team you have and not the team you want. I demand our defensive effort exceeds or matches our offensive effort. If you don't play D you won't play. I prefer to play inside out rather than rely on the long jump shot.

Yes it did... We can't afford to miss layups or free throws... And Rodgers a.k.a. lil Ray Ray gave us buckets...
