Okay I have a lot to cover. Yes, cole is the Frosh QB. Ryle was my in the league but The 8th grade team did play them and won. Campbell county was ik the league but CCH rolled right over them. This team can beat highlands, and should go undefeated but, and a big BUT, they have to still work hard and be young men in the classroom, on the field and outside of school. Yes they could easily beat everyone by two td's but things happen. Coach Edgington will prepare them for every game on the schedule, not just HHS. I am looking foward to this team, we have to let them play games before we give them all this hype, and them we will see. The class has much potential but lets wait a little. Can't wait til the games start!!

CCH Freshman will put on pads for the first time this year tonight. It's going to be an exciting year for this team. They have much potential. What are we looking for this team to do down the road?

This is exactly what Freshman Coach Ted Edgington had in mind when he took the job, I believe he told Wirth that if freshman can't play both ways, he isn't coaching. So now the freshman team are learning two positions. Offense and a defensive position. Just like the CYF the best 11 play. I think this will be a blessing more than a burden.

I would agree with you on that. Ben can play a number of other positions as well as Cole. I am interested to see what will happen in a few years. But pumped for this year!

I know Wags will be the QB this year. Ben is the back up. But who would you have starting in a QB competition out of Ben and Cole.

I have talked to a few people, that all say he will start varsity. But lets get back the football side of things. Does Vonhandorf have any chance of playing above B. Dressman?

Cole will be a Blue Colonel for his entire high school career. I have heard that he is done playing football after this year, and. Believe it. He is starting CCH varsity basketball as a Freshman. Ben dressman will remain QB after Wags is gone. But don't count out bill Hentz's son, tony. The kid has a canon. This incoming class will e fine with or without out Cole.

With dead period ending next week, what will CCH coach Dave wirth be doing with the guys for the first few weeks of practice, What will he be doing to get their minds back to football. Does he still have the boys coming in for two a days and does he have the freshman doing anything different with the new coach, Ted Edgington. What will they be doing to concentrate on highlands. Te season is almost here.

NKY does have some of the best QB's. Drew Barker, Pat tolwes, Blake Bir, Drew Moore, Donovan McCoy. We have been spoiled.

I'm sure the coaches as well as the kids no the importance of highlands vs covcath. All the hype and rivalry is the biggest game on the schedule. The coaches try to approach it like they would every game but using the tradition is a good way to get the boys going. I'm really looking foward to this years game.

I would agree with you, Freshman Championships shows nothing except for who will be playing at the next level. Highlands finds away to be at the top every year. And what are you talking about the ride? What do you mean?

The last Time CCH Frosh has beaten Highlands was when the 2006 State Champions Seniors were freshman. It been awhile. But I believe the drought ends this year.

It's almost here. Football season. Ahhh. Anyway, what specific team, individual player or coach are you looking forward to watch this year? Any level I am going to watch Adam Wagner QB CCH to see how he fills the shoes of Blake Bir. I am going to watch Cov Cath in a whole, I'm anxious to see if they can step up and replace those who have left. Also, in really anxious to see how Ted Edgington works with the Cov Cath Frosh. Think it will be a good year for him and the boys. Notice I am all CCH. I still bleed blue!!

Only thing I am worried about with this is if Cole decides to quit. Also, Decker Schwarts has quit football. That's a real shame considering he was the cream of the crop. But anyway back to Cole and the Frosh. Cole may be quitting after this year to pursue his basketball dreams. I wish him the best in whatever he chooses. Alex Shelton is practicing with varsity and also working out with the big boys regularly and I think this will help him and the entire Frosh team because Alex can bring down some of his " experiences" down with him. Shelton is probably the biggest leader on this team, so if Cole decides to turn away from football I think Alex will still lead the team with no trouble. This Frosh group has the talent and the potential to be really good. They need to workout with the o line and this team will look good. If this team gets the o line to where they want it, and everybody is clicking, I honestly believe this can be the class that beats Highlands all four years and even bring home some titles. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and let's see how they perform this year in high school ball.
