Congrats to Cooper. They came out hitting from the first pitch and connected well all game. Rebel pitching struggled whole game and didn't get much help from defense either. Bone never did threaten until bottom of 5th, to cut lead to 9-5. After that Cooper kept adding on as bats kept red hot. Great offensive display by the jags in this one. Boone falls to 9-5-1. Boone could very well have a deep run with those three, plus Meyerhoff's JV squad has a couple arms that could provide very good depth to staff led by Ganns,Purnell and Huff. Kenton Hibbard (So.) and Ryan Vickers (Fr.) have been very impressive in their outings v Highlands and Ryle.

Final from Florence....back end of DH for Boone Co, the Rebels bats woke up in the 3rd, turning 2-0 deficit, to 7-2 lead, batting around in the order. Soph Daniel Dahms, gets start for Rebels and goes 6 with 2 runs, and Fr Chris Leight pitched scoreless 7th....Boone added 3 more in last 3 innings, led by Fr Jake Shultz 2 hits and Fr Chandler Feinhauer with 2 hits and 3 RBI

Fun game to watch.....good pitching and solid D from both teams.. young rebels had some impressive arms and typical Meyerhoff defence. Birds bats make alot of contact, and put ball in play majority of today's lineup...wish they would have had parents turn headlights on to finish..LOL...exciting game and both teams impressed for this early....well done guys and good luck to both rest of season!!

Anyone hear how scrimmage vs Scott went?? And i think jv scrimmaged too....... any info on how teams looked

never heard who Coach Huff named to take Jr's spot on the coaching staff. Jr will definitely be missed as first the kids loved him and second, he's helluva pitching coach.

Heard they have some good young arms in waiting on JV squad, but didn't know they had that many.....Meyerhoff must love that
