I got the Danville games on NFHS a few years ago and quickly regretted it. The video quality was poor and there was no sound or displays of the game scores. I wasn't expecting ESPN-like production quality but it was not worth any money. Makes you appreciate what Prepd Spin and even what the Lincoln County folks get on the regular (and other schools who pull this off).

Admirals take the ball first but only move it backwards five yards. They have to punt on their own 27 and Green County takes over at their own 30.

I'd argue that I'd be fine with excluding because they should've taken care of business in their district so that they aren't a #4 seed. I just think the regular season needs more prioritization, especially if we're going to keep this district system, which I believe is becoming more archaic by the year anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number of 4 seeds that drop out continues to accelerate, kind of like how the opt out for college bowl games did. The idea that you can't do that or even that it's frowned upon has been breached and the floodgates might open.

Tomorrow night the Danville Admirals (8-2, 4-1) host their first playoff game since 2022 when they face Green County (7-3, 2-2). These two teams have not played since September 2016 when the Admirals thumped the Dragons 62-0. However, Green County did eliminate the Admirals from playoff contention during the 2008 playoffs, which was when Sam Harp was still at the helm. Danville coach Steve Stonebreaker has made a big deal about his team hosting this first round playoff game, a reward after a hard fought regular season that resulted in the Admirals finishing runner-up in their district to Lexington Christian Academy, one of the title contenders in class 2A. The key to the Dragons winning the game will be to stop Admirals running back Jayvian Meaux, one of the most impressive freshmen in the state. Meaux has scored more than 20 touchdowns this year. The Dragons will also have to watch out for junior receiver Trinden Sellers, who is a threat not only to catch passes but return kicks and punts. The winner of this game has likely has a date with Somerset (9-1, 4-0) in the second round. So who wins tomorrow night?

Wouldn't disagree but I do not see this team beating Florida. However, that is the most winnable game left outside of TN Tech.

The Bengals defense is horrendous. They can't stop anyone. I think all of us on this forum could probably put up 30+ on this squad.

When that shot clock rule change takes effect it will be interesting to see the effects that has on this region. Many of last year's regional games were not a good watch.

It's stuff like this that is a helpful reminder of how big Kentucky is from one end to the other.

Yeah, I think this is a good balance. Puts a priority on the regular season if we keep the district model intact. Grants a reward for winning your district. Teams who don't quality could have the option of playing another non-playoff team in a bowl game or something that would give some of those teams a more positive way to end the season.

If this game was at Commonwealth (I refuse to say "Kroger Field"), I would like the Cats more. However, Auburn is still fighting for Freeze and they've at least beaten SEC competition. Can see this being close for a half and then Auburn pulling away late.

I just don't see a world where you can bring Stoops back. He's lost the fanbase and if he's retained you could lose players like Boley and people will just vote with their wallets and not show up to games next year. Can't imagine NIL donors will open their pocketbooks either. I'd also say that UK is probably not going to make a big splash with the next hire. Yes, lots of big programs will have openings but I'd argue those candidates weren't going to consider UK anyway. Exception might be someone like Sumrall. But there will be a TON of heat on Mitch Barnhart if nothing is done this offseason.

I'd actually be fine with Mullen. He seems to do better at programs with fewer resources. I still think Florida cut him loose too soon and when they did they didn't get an adequate replacement in Napier.

Wow, I didn't know things were this bad at Mercer. Would explain the poor record this season. Why are numbers down so much?

Terrible loss. A win would have gotten the team back to .500 and within 1 game of the Steelers in the division.
