Thought both coaches were bad in this game...

He is a top 20 ranked player for a reason. He is able to do things on the court that nobody in the Region is able to do. IMO Woodford is selfish. Woodfords coach is not a great coach, and does NOTHING to get him the ball.

Would the OC transfer we have heard so much about have made a difference?

How about Grant, down 5 with around 45-50 seconds to go, and they are jacking volleyball line 3´s???

Grant needed someone to score the ball, and Fox does not provide that.

Johnson is the best player in the 8th region. He is not relied on to do as much. Woodford does not try to get him shots at all, and everything he gets is for himself. He is the smoothest/most impressive player in every game he plays. He will be a Starting PG for a Power 5 conference one day as long as he keeps working... Unreal athlete/skill.

Also agree. Fox would not have made a difference in that game IMO.

At what point do you draw the line with Duvall? I hate seeing my Rebels blow big games due to poor coaching.

Moore had 4 fouls in the 3rd. In 27 seconds of game-time that Duvall pulled him, Woodford went on a 4-0 run.

Unreal. Potential Mr. Basketball Candidate/2-Time Region POY, and you only win 1 District Title/All ¨A¨? 0 won regional games. Kudos to Teagan Moore, what an impressive player. I hope he succeeds at the next level. But, overall disappointed to call myself an OC fan...

Cooper lost Pouncey that early, and Highlands still lost? What happened here?

What a great season by Grant County! Has to suck for them that the Region is so strong right now.

I love Owen County and Teagan Moore. But, seriously? Losing to a weak Gallatin group, then blowing a 15-point lead in the 3rd quarter of a regional game? Coach D has to go man...

Although I am a big Moore/OC fan, as long as MCcrear is playing, I see Woodford winning by 15+.

I believe there is a few reasons for all the hype around this upset. 1. In their 3 matchups this year, Owen has won by scores of 17, 17, and 8. 2. The Cats lost to 8 to the Rebels, WITHOUT Teagan Moore playing. 3. The full-court shot obviously. 4. There has always been some bad-blood between these 2 counties. I, myself did not think there was ANY chance GC could beat OC. I guarantee every other person in the stands believed the same. Heck, maybe even the players.

Oh, they are good. But, if I am Beechwood I would rather have a talented young team to play, instead of veteran led squads. These teams being Lloyd, CovCath, or the physical Cooper.

What a tough draw for Highlands. Beechwood got the best Draw they could have asked for... Another upset?

Sheppard will get Mr. Basketball, and deserves it in every shape and form. But guys like Meyer, Ipsaro, Moore, and Morton all deserve some spotlight too. This is a great class coming out of KY.

Moore takes over almost every single game he plays in. Even against the top competition in the 8th region, and he also showed it in the All ¨A¨ State Tournament.

Did not expect this one to be so close.
