They're playing better right now I'd say. I think the top 4 will shuffle around quite a bit throughout the season. It'll be interesting to see what Taylor will bring to the PRP offense now that he's back.

It's being held right after the Ballard Vs. Indianapolis Cathedral, as part of a double-header. I assume they expect some good crowds and their new gym holds 3,000.

Doss needs it's strong sophomore class to step up big time on the road against a tough Iroquois squad. 12/15: #1 Bullitt East Vs. Madison Central @ Valley - Maybe the best game in the state this week, features two of the top teams in the state. The Charger senior trio of Troutman, Rakes and Willis match-up against Indians senior trio of Hawkins, Bosley and Taylor. Elliot Young becomes the wildcard in this game, if he plays well the Chargers should take home a victory.

Butler and PRP traded blows early in the first quarter, and the Bears had a slim 15-12 lead after one quarter. Then behind a strong second quarter from Bryce Byrd the Panthers outscored the Bears 20-8 in the second quarter. They took a 9 point lead, 32-23, in to the half off of a Richard Clemons buzzer beater 3. PRP came out swinging in the 3rd, Antonio McDaniels had six quick points and the Panthers had built a 15 point lead, 43-28. Butler then went on a 10-2 run to close the 3rd quarter, Rashawn Farrell hit two huge threes to get them going. PRP pushed their lead back to 8 early in the 3rd. Then Demetrius McReynolds got going hitting two threes to make it 48-46 PRP. After that it was very back and forth, PRP and Butler were trading baskets. But Butler found a way to tie it 59-59, their ball. Demetrius McReynolds drove and got fouled. He was shooting two with 10.4 seconds left. However, he missed both and a PRP buzzer beater wasn't close. To OT it went. It stayed at 59 all for the first minute and a half of OT, then PRP and Butler traded baskets making it 61 all. Rashawn Farrell's two free throws makes it 63-61 Butler, a LaMontray Harris miss and PRP foul puts Will Johnson at the line with 56.3 seconds left. He misses both, PRP gets the rebound and a Bryce Byrd three puts them up one, 64-63. Then after a McReynolds missed shot Terry Harbin collects the rebound and his put back makes it 65-64. Antonio McDaniels takes a well defended jumper which misses and is rebounded by McReynolds. McReynoldshits 1 to make it 66-64. Bryce Byrd's buzzer beater three narrowly misses and Butler wins 66-64. Huge 6th Region rivalry tonight as the Butler Bears will take on the undefeated Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers. Can Demetrius McReynolds and talented sophomore guards Jeremiah Bell and Will Johnson slow down the three headed PRP junior attack of LaMontray Harris, D'Angelo Hunter and Antonio McDaniels? This will be Panthers first real test of the season, while Butler has already played Bullitt East on the road and nearly upset the 6th Region favorites. Prediction: Butler, still upset after letting the Bullitt East game get away, comes out strong and takes down PRP in a four point victory. Your thoughts?

It was awesome, very up tempo, but still plenty of good defense being played. Alex Jones and Josh Payne were battling, Payne is such a smooth player very fun to watch him play.

The final score doesn't indicate how close this game was. The score was 45-44 with Fairdale leading after three quarters, but Robert Shaw and Will Glasford led a furious 16-0 run that saw St. Xavier go from down 3 to up 13 in a matter of minutes. Alex Jones was fantastic all night and led St. Xavier with 20 points. Josh Payne led Fairdale in the first half with 13 points, 4 of those came right before half off of two steals which resulted in a lay-up then a fantastic dunk. However, St. X shut him down in the second half as he only scored 7 points with most of those coming after St. X had put the game away. This was one of the most exciting games I've seen this year and it was played at a break neck pace with tons of lead changes. Credit goes to both teams as they both came to play and put on a great show. Scorers are as follows. Fairdale: Josh Payne 20, Boo Crabtree 5, Darren Lowrey 13, Caleb Longacre 7, Corey Thomas 11 and Jordan Clark 5.
