I think it's safe to say that the top four teams in the region have really started to separate themselves. The team 5-10 will still likely make some noise though by the end of the year,

Jeffersontown has struggled to win so far this season. Their football players should be starting to get comfortable and they really need to get a win to build some momentum. They'll need to slow down an Eastern squad that is playing great without senior shooting guard Jordan Branger

 

12/11: #9 Doss @ #6 Iroquois -

 

Coach Morrow has the Raiders on a 3 game winning streak, while Doss struggled on the road against Seneca. Doss needs it's strong sophomore class to step up big time on the road against a tough Iroquois squad.

 

12/15: #1 Bullitt East Vs. Madison Central @ Valley -

 

Maybe the best game in the state this week, features two of the top teams in the state. The Charger senior trio of Troutman, Rakes and Willis match-up against Indians senior trio of Hawkins, Bosley and Taylor. Elliot Young becomes the wildcard in this game, if he plays well the Chargers should take home a victory.

It's being held right after the Ballard Vs. Indianapolis Cathedral, as part of a double-header.

 

I assume they expect some good crowds and their new gym holds 3,000.

They're playing better right now I'd say. I think the top 4 will shuffle around quite a bit throughout the season.

 

It'll be interesting to see what Taylor will bring to the PRP offense now that he's back.

I think this regional tourney may shape up to be the best in the state. Maybe even better than the 7th.

I think so, you can probably make the case that the 6th's top 4 is better than the 7th's right now. Fairdale did get beat by St. X but it was very close. And I think the 6th's 5th-10th teams are better than the 7th's.

 

Both regional games will be held at Valley though, so it shouldn't be too hard to see which field is better.
