My understand is that they have 3 players out with the flu, dressed 6. Guess they just ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. This team has a lot of heart with full squad at nine players.
They have 5 Sr that has played together since the 3rd grade, one Jr., 1 so and 3 fr. Total enrollments less than 75. Girls team could not come up with full squad. My only question is what happens next year?
BIRDS. They loose 1 starter at 2nd, and 1 starting pitcher, but get 2 quality arms from JV, 1 who threw a no hitter is first start at varsity. Pitching will be one of the best in the state, (Jones, Martin, Bunning, Raisor, Kreeger), B-wood will be strong, but I will take the Dirty Birds.
Todd Ramey gets win in 1st pitching appearance of the year. He and Whitford go 1-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Moeves from NC gets save. Great game, a lot of fun for the kids.
Birds put the bat on the ball and put the pressure on Dixie. That an food defense but the dirty birds in the finals. Congrats to Jeremy Baioni and his staff.
