Congrats Coach Feldhaus

A good young coach seems like just what Somerset needs and a former Briar Jumper would be an added bonus.

Is anyone hearing anything about this coaching position? Here is the names i heard: 1. Jeff Cothran 2. Dave Shultz If I were making the decisions there i would want to hire a person who wants to build the program from the ground back up where it was at a few years ago before Coach Thacker left. I hope they make the decision to get a young energetic coach in there that truly cares about Somerset and the program.

Who has applied for the Carroll County girls position? Coach Mefford did an excellent job and may be very hard to replace.

Who has applied for the Somerset Lady Jumpers position?

West Carter- I have heard they offered this job to the Lady Vikings head man Scott Tackett. If that does not work out then i have heard they may go after a Rowan County Boys assistant who has previous girls head coaching experience. Has anyone else heard anything about this job?

Here is my list in no certain order: Andrew Zaheri- Danville- Won the Class A region in his first season and also his first district game Johnny Leep- Trimble County- Did a great job with little talent Coach Davis- South Laurel- Had to battle thru a lot of injuries- he will have the cardinals back in the hunt soon Denny Fugate- Breathitt County- Not really a first year head coach but has been away from the game for a long time. Derossett- Prestonsburg- Has the Black Cats on the right track to building a solid program.
