Gover was at Somerset up thru middle school and when his uncle was hired at PC then he transferred over.

Me either. There should be some interest in this job because they should be pretty good this year.

Has anyone heard anything about this job? I have heard they are working to find Scott Tackett at Rowan County a teaching job and this could be a done deal. What have you all heard?

If I were Clark County I would definately consider Scott Tackett and if they could get him that would be a great hire because he could take the program to the top of that region. I have seen his teams play and they are tough and when he has good players he can beat anybody there is.

I think this region could be really strong at the top like usual.

I look for the 10th Region to be a little stronger top to bottom.

That is very interesting. I wonder if they will try to get Coach Biggs back there?

Coach Zaheri did an outstanding job at Danville in his first year. He beat Boyle, Southern, DeSales, and gave Lincoln a great game all three times. I saw them play this year and I thought they had a great season under Zaheri considering that he did not have a great deal of talent. I look for Zaheri to have this program near the top of the region in a couple years.

I think Coach Trimble will do a good job at Raceland.

I like to see young coaches getting thier foot in the door in these small schools.

I would like to have seen at least the Cauley kid or a Kentucky recruit on this team.

Is the coach at Henry Clay going to Bourbon? I heard this the other day and thought this seemed a little bit of a surprise considering the team he has coming back at Henry Clay. I do not know the situation though.

The Indiana team looks loaded. I will be very interested to see what Kentucky kids will make this team? Does anyone have any predictions? I think there will be a couple Trinity Nathan Dieudonne and Foster, Manning from Scott County. Wing and Townsend from Rowan County. Matt Day from Burnhorn. Paige from Perry Central. Jaylen Beckham, Bryan Station, Max Clemmons, Pleasure Ridge Park, Isaiah Ivey, Scott Co., Jay Johnson, Woodford Co, Mekale McKay, Moore ,,

Sometimes hiring a young guy with a lot to prove and that is willing to work hard is exactly what a school needs to build its self back up.

I agree Stewart is going to be tough to stop. There are not a lot of mobile big guys like him in the region next year. Thats why i think Rowan could be tough again because they have two bigs that will be tough to match up with.

What players return for each of the teams in this region that could be making a new impact on this region?

I dont think hiring someone who is only gonna stay a year or two is the answer. I am not sure that Somerset has enough talent right now to win a region so why not bring in a young coach who is gonna be able to build this program back up and that way they do not have to go through this again in a year or two. I bet there is a lot of Somerset people who wish they would have kept Coach Thacker now.

The last two years Ashland and Rowan have been to the region finals. Is there a chance that either team returns to that stage this year? It is hard to rule out the two teams that have been on top for the last two years. I know Rowan lost three really good players but they have 6'11 Matt Brown back, Tyler Thacker back, Josh Barnard back, Trevor Newsome back. Ashland has Salow, Hart, Thompson and a couple other kids that players minutes back. Everyone is saying it is all Russell and possibly Fleming at this point but i think Boyd is also got a good shot. East Carter should be tough. Like I said i look for Ashland and Rowan to still be pretty good this year.

Anyone heard anything on any of the open girls jobs?

I am hearing Dave Fraley is now in the mix for this job. Has anyone else heard this?

Who does everyone return? I know Fleming basically brings everyone back.
