  1. Not being a jerk here, but we don't know who you are replying to. Use the quote button and it will attached who you are answering.
  2. I'm sure they have a reason and I didn't ask. I don't care where she goes. I just was saying that they didn't transfer because they moved...like someone else seemed to be going down that path. It was just the connection of the two stories. The bridge selling comment was to point out that moving was not the reason for the transfer. It's not like they moved and now are in HC district. They moved and are now going to HC after just last year they moved her up here, looked and spoke with multiple schools and ended up at SK. Now a year later, they are transferring to HC. Again, I don't care where she plays. You can look back to last years thread when she moved up here and I supported it when others were saying that was fishy. But don't you think moving again a year later with only one year to play may raise a few questions? I hope she's happy. I hope she loves HC and has a successful senior season.
  3. The poor softball team is in shambles too. Those coaches are doing everything possible to hold that together. Are there just not a lot of females going to Beechwood that are interested in sports any longer? That's just a question. Not a knock. And it's perfectly fine for them not to be. Just seems odd for Beechwood. Again, not a knock, just different.
  4. Murphy is a big vball player. But most of that stuff happens on weekends. Several of these others play aau too. I haven't heard anything about Murphy leaving. Guess she could have. But my guess it's a vball conflict.
  5. I didn't say they didn't move. I said the reason for the transfer was not because they moved. Are you saying they transferred to HC because they moved?
  6. Is that Chames in the back row? I know there was some talk on here and I've heard other rumors about her as well. Just can't make her out real well. If it's her, I assume this would put those rumors to rest.
  7. Are there some faces missing? I can't make everyone out.
  8. I didn't say anything about that. You can have that discussion with them. I'm very familiar with her situation. She played for me and her dad helped coach! Spent a lot of time with both of them and they were outstanding! I'm saying when there are multiple moves, they tend to take a longer look at things...regardless what the reasons are. And if anyone thinks the reason for the move to HC is because of a change of address, I got a bridge to sell you.
  9. My guess is the same as Jenna Martin last year. You are eligible to practice with the school in non-KHSAA events once you are enrolled at the school. However, that doesn't mean you are eligible to compete in the regular season. That comes with an official ruling from KHSAA. So until you hear from the KHSAA officially, you are allowed to participate with the school as long as you're enrolled there. There isn't anything official going on now for bball and if the kid is enrolled, there is no recruiting statutes being broken, so in their eyes, the kid is just going to a new school. Whether they will allow participation comes later. From what I'm hearing and from other examples across the state, I don't think there were be any issues in the long run. However, the multiple moves usually throws up a bigger flag and can sometimes take longer to approve. See Jenna Martin last year. It was ridiculously long! But I get why they would place more scrutiny on a kid that moved multiple times.
  10. Well I'm not sure if the Adler girl was in high school at the time when they moved. But if that is the kind of transfer we are talking about then it was a while ago. I believe the Adler's bought a house in Ft Thomas and moved all their kids. The youngest, Brianna, was in my daughter's class and just graduated last year. She is 19 now. Brianna started in my daughter's class in the 2nd grade I believe. So that would have made her about 7-8 when they came and that would have happened about 10-12 years ago.
  11. Don't remember Highlands having any in girl's bball other than last year.
  12. Aren't you guys funny. You know I plan to speak in front of a packed house regarding the All A "Classic" and the "Watered Down Football Playoff Process" (6 classes, pfff). I know @Jumper Dad will be camping out for tickets to hear this inspirational message! (and don't tell anyone, but the packed house might just be my house where my wife and kids can't get away...they have to listen...well at least be in the same house with me! I have 4 kids, so I'm calling that a "packed house"! )
  13. Davies was very good. I think ranked as high as 5th at one point last year. In the state tournament, we had them down 5-1 with one out in the top of the 7th and we lost 8-5. Their 8 hitter led off the inning with an out. The 9 hitter hit a blooper just over the head and out of reach of our second baseman and then they proceeded to hit about 8 missiles in a row and scored 7 runs. I think they only had like 3 hits up to that point. I was on the losing end, but it was amazing what they did.
  14. Looks like she pitched one game on Friday and 4 on Saturday She gave up: 7 vs East Jess 0 vs Johnson Central 1 vs HC Louisville 1 vs Central Hardin 7 vs Davies
  15. Correct, but keep in mind that Ryle, Conner and Cooper are all in the same district. So come region time, you will only have to deal with 2 or the 3. Also, HC and Holmes are in the same district. So I would say the top 5 teams in the region will come from 2 districts.
  16. I think they could be. They have something that no other team in the 9th has...size! And I mean size!!! They also have good young guards and now Harney. There are some good teams in the 9th. Ryle, Conner, Cooper and Holmes are all going to be good, but I think HC can play with and beat any of them at any time. Their young kids are getting older and the youth mistakes that kept them from being dominate are starting to diminish. However, I did hear rumors of some possible roster changes down there too. But all rumors at this point.
  17. Agree with most of what you said, but why do you feel HC has little chance of getting to NKU?
  18. Absolutely love this kid! So fun to watch. Blue collar kid that does whatever to help her team win. Phenomenal defender that can defend multiple positions. Has great heart, a great motor and great instincts on offense and defense. Tough and Tenacious! Any coach would be happy to have this kid.
  19. It will...I agree. But HHS played up in class before Dale was there too. It wasn't all his idea.
  20. I think they do look into it, but I think some more than others. I think the number and type of flags that are thrown up bring more scrutiny than others. For example, if you move multiple times, huge flag. And we've some have to sit out or at least go to appeals processes to get eligible. I think the language is just so vague (on purpose to protect the kids that actually do need the exceptions), that it makes it too hard to govern the others.
  21. That's a nice team and I really like a couple of their players, but are we really saying that NO ONE in the 8th can can compete with them? Is that true? I'll admit that really only know mostly about the northern 8th teams, but no one will be on SKs level in that entire region?
