Jansen - found out she'll actually play very limited minutes - severe ankle sprain a week ago Barth - Playing with a broken nose from a week ago Coffey - Out for the season with some health issues Gabbard - out for season with knee. Jansen and Coffey are their bangers under the basket. They are a bunch of midgets already, so losing some of their muscle creates a minor challenge.

HHS has three kids out right now. Two will not return. One may but I have no idea when. I think they should be okay with Dixie, but they will have to continue to step it up against others.

Cooper definitely on a roll! And beating all NKy teams! Scary team right now.

Great post! They may not win state this year or next or the year after that! But if they continue to make progress and energize the right kids and then start pulling some of the other athletes back to football, who knows. Winning and respect cure a lot of ailments. When you start winning and running a respected program, athletes will come. I said in the other thread...it's a marathon.

For me, I really hope they continue their upward jaunt. It's not the same without them being an upper epsilon team. I love the bitter, but respected rivalry.

C'mon man! Give me some credit. I started in the conversation trying to be serious and answering your questions. But you don't like the answers! I can't help that. And didn't I tell you about the enrollment? And didn't I contribute to what I feel next year and a few years after that may bring? I asked you to bullet out your questions (being serious and trying to get you your answers) and I would get you your answers one by one. You act like you’ve only asked 3 questions or made accusations about a couple things. Its 14 pages long. There is a lot more in there than that! I asked for a list that included everything you wanted to know and you blew that off! THEN, I said I’ll meet you and even buy! And you weaseled out of that offer. I’m really not sure how much else we can do for you at this point! I have contributed my opinions and told you that the sky is not falling in the Fort, but you don’t want to believe it. EVERYTIME someone has told you anything, you take it as not true or you don’t believe it. I’m not sure what we can contribute if you don’t clarify what you’re actually trying to get to. I haven't skated around any answers. I have answered all these in depth about 10 times on BGP. Others have answered you in this thread and I agree with all of them. You just don't like the answers. I'm not sure what else to say at this point. If you have things you'd really like more details, I will do what I can.

But while I have you...since this is a discussion, you tell us what you think it is. We've given you our opinions and discussed our thoughts. (whether you like the answers or not) How about you? What do you think the issue is? You must have some opinion. You must have something to add to the discussion, right? Have you defined downfall yet? You can start there. Then, why do you care so much? What do you think HHS needs to do to get out of their downward spiral? Do you think they will ever get back to the top or are state championships over in the FORT? Do you feel there are issues with the feeder program? Do you feel everyone has just caught up?

If you are asking about this upcoming year, I'm not sure that will happen. I hope it does, but you just don't magically go from not having enough depth and size to state championships in one year. They reason HHS had been successful was because they had classes after classes with really good talent. So back ups to backups were good players. Some predicted this stint two years before it happened. That was because they knew what was coming. Now you have to take some time for those classes that are replacing them to fill in the depth. You need multiple good classes in a row to do what HHS does to be successful at a smaller school. So yes, I (and others) think those classes are on the way. But I don't think any HHS fan feels it's going to happen overnight. But like I said before, tradition is a marathon...not a sprint. They will be back and I have zero concern about that. I don't have any kids that play football. So I have all the time in the world. The folks that can tend to get a little excited are the ones with kids in the program now and the clock is ticking. I was there before several of them and I'll be there after they are gone. So it makes no difference to me "when" it happens. But it will.
