I think Floyd was already used as a pinch runner earlier in the game. Congrats to the Rebels for hanging tough and battling back all night. Congrats to coach Huff and his staff on another job well done!

Congratulations to Williams and Hart. Both are terrific ball players and terrific kids. Well deserved!

Coach Huff has had to juggle some players around this year due to some injuries. He has done a fantastic job with this group and definitely maximizes everyone to their full potential. Agree with Ganns, Purnell and Roedersheimer. I would also throw in Johnson who has pitched really well also. I'm not sure how far this group will go but hats off to Coach Huff and his staff for doing a great job!

Stringer is a heck of a ball player. The good games far out weigh the bad games. And if he wants to wear eye black who cares. As good as he is he can stand on his head and spit wooden nickles in the dugout for all I care. He's a terrific player and fun to watch!

After sitting through two games in the span of 5 days along side the Cooper fan base I'll take the Rebel fan base over Cooper a million times over. The conduct of the Cooper fan base at these two games was completely obnoxious as well. We just don't send continuous threads to BGP about it. The other big difference is that the Rebel fans are much more knowledgeable about the game and thus very passionate about the game. Between you and Hellbird you spend alot of time trashing the Rebel fans when maybe you should be worrying about your own fan base. I have six words for you and hellbird "Hello pot this is the kettle".

You are correct on everything you have listed. It's just kind of funny that both umpires on the field tried to expalin it as the runner slid to hard and across the base into the fielder initiating unnecessary contact when in fact the SS came into him. I'm not sure why they automatically assumed that the only way there could have been contact was because of the runner sliding. The runner has as much right to the bag as the fielder. Again, the whole thing would have never occured had the first baseman made a decent throw and not hung his teammate out to dry.

Correct. The throw from first hit the dirt about 2 feet in front of second base which was behind the runner that was sliding and the SS tried to come over/through the slidding runner, that's how the contact occured. The runner did slide directly into the bag.

Boone was upset because it was a HORRIBLE call! The shortstop actually came across the bag and initiated the contact with the sliding runner when he was trying to dig the ball out of the dirt form the first basemans throw. The ball ended up in left field. It was an error on the first baseman and both runners were safe and should have remained on the bases. The reason it was called obstruction is because the umpire in the field was horrible and probably doesn't know anything about the actual rule and/or it's intent. It's unfortunate that the contact happened and that the Cooper player was injured but it was a clean slide and nothing more. If the first baseman would have made a decent throw to his teammate the entire scenario would not have happened and it would have been a routine force out.

Ganns was pretty much lights out. One of the best pitching performances I've seen in a while. Congrats to the Rebels!

The umpiring in both games was disgraceful! Boone rallied in the first game to beat Campbellsville 7-5. The umpire behind the plate had 3 horrible calls against Boone in that one. In the second game the field umpire completely blew two calls, one at third and one at second. The one at second was an absolute joke, the PRP runner was out by two feet and called safe. The final score should have either been 3-2 or 3-1 not 5-1. Congrats to the Rebels on a good day of baseball against all odds.
