I wasn"t comparing Southwestern to Scott Co. I was simply saying that was ONE of two games I have seen Pulaski play. My point was when you ask one or two players to carry that much of a load it is very difficult. So far they have done a good job, but eventually if a team can get Pulaski in an up tempo type game their bench is gonna have to step up and perhaps they will. As far as Southwestern being overrated, perhaps they are, but so far they have lost to one ky team which was GRC. GRC is ranked one or two in their region and won the Ashland tourney after the Mercer Co tourney. SW beat a good Ohio Co team that is ranked first or second in their region. I think alot of people think SW or Pulaksi will come out of the 12th but I would not count out East Jessamine by no means. They could be the best team in the 12th.

I am sure Gover and Johnson will get their points. I saw PC and Scott Co play. Scott Co did not press but only picked up full court and Gover was exhausted. He is a great kid and plays with alot of heart, but if they win this game somebody is gonna have to handle the ball at times other than Gover, IMO

Should be an interesting game. I am curious if either coach will show a whole lot. I imagine SW will press. I have seen them play several times this year and they have played a team or two with a good shooter, and they have went box and one. I doubt SW will go box and one on Johnson but I am pretty sure if it were a tourney game he would be seeing a box and one.

i saw wayne and southwestern play earlier in the year, wayne pressed a little but were unable to score enough to set up their press in that game.

I dont know about all the rankings, but Ballard beats Manual by 2 at Ballard and I think Ballard was ranked about 4 points higher in the rankings. Thats pretty darn good if you ask me. As far as Manual losing to GRC and Ohio county, I would not hold that against them. Those two teams are showing they are better than expected.

I would agree it was basically SW- pressure defense and McCrearys turnovers that was the story of the game, also hope the Williams kid gets a good report on his knee.

tyson williams hurt his knee at the end of the first quarter, at that time McCreary had 4 points at the end of the first quarter.

I thought Somerset would press or at least pick up full court and try to get Pulaski tired. I also thought Somerset would try and make the game more physical. If I am not mistaken there was not one single foul called in the first quarter.

Wasn't rowan co in kob? I not sure how they did in games but grc vs rowan at ait should be good game.

Have not seen Pendleton Co, but did get to see GRC at Mercer tourney. I was impressed with their defense.

unruly fans should be escorted out of games in the 12 region or any region games. I certainly was not at all of the Mercer county tourney games but i did not see any unruly fans making rude gestures, using obscene language or throwing objects on the floor, but like i said i wasnt at all the games. Overall i thought it was a very good tournament and GRC is a very fine team and seemed to have some very fine young men representing their school as did southwestern.

i would agree it was a very well run tournament with very nice and courteous people. i also agree refs are just HUMAN, but i also noticed instances of refs running down the floor looking up in the stands GLARING at fans, that is only instigating a potential problem. Most refs do a great job and some do miss calls, but lets not forget fans are only HUMAN too and no one is forcing them to be a referee and they must also remember a gymnasium is not a funeral home and it will get loud with cheering and complaining. The THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN phrase goes both ways, fans and refs. But overall it was a great facility with some great basketball this week, very enjoyable.

great game, two very good defensive teams that play with alot of heart. I think southwesterns youth showed up a little late in the game, i think it was either tied or 1 advantange either way, i dont remember. Soutwestern turned the ball over i think two or three times in a row and GRC took advantange, like good teams do, and were able to pull out the win. Both teams got very tired and showed a great deal of determination, i would not want to have to beat either team to get out of their respected regions come tourney time!

Yes, his shooting might have been a surpise to some that hadn't seen him before, but if you noticed after he hit his first two threes, everytime he shot the three, while the ball was in the air the southwestern bench stood up, they expected the ball to go in, his shooting was not a surprise to the kids that have seen him play this year. He is still young and gets lost on defense sometimes, as freshman do, but by the end of the year he is only gonna get better, his team mates are also starting to have confidence in him and starting to look for him more now.

Yes, should be a fun few years. The Collier kid has been battling some back pain this week. The way he played last night is a NORMAL type game for him. He is capable of that type of performance on a nightly basis when he is healthy and ready to go.

Both teams will fight you to the end, but all the teams playing last night looked tired. I think if Southwestern guards have enough legs left to pressure GRC's guards they will win, both teams are gonna be tired but GRC doesnt mind slowing the game down, so I think with this being the 4th game in four days for both teams, it has to favor GRC a little. Should be a good game both teams are good and this will be a gut check type game.

The kid shooting the threes was Isiah Collier, he is a Freshman.
