It's more than a lateral move. The new PAC is still better than the bottom and middle of the WCC. Other than Saint Mary's, Gonzaga had no competition in league play. Washington State, Oregon State, Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State are almost always in the Tourney in recent years.
