Montgomery County at Augusta 2/6/13
TheSportsProvetto replied to AndOneDad's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Hope it stays close but MoCos size will be too much for the Panthers. Prewitt and Bach going at it will be fun to watch, that's for sure. -
Can anyone post the latest top 25 rankings? I can't seem to find it. Just curious to see if anyone unexpected may have been added or fallen out.

Stats for the game anyone? -
Augusta /Beechwood
TheSportsProvetto replied to Tweety Pie's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Augusta should have beat this Beechwood team, too many missed FT's and silly forced shots. Also they had many unnecessary fouls and unforced turnovers. They also had the lead for much of the 2nd half. All in all just a scrimmage and they have some time to fix things. -
Montgomery County 2011/2012

They should be solid this year, along with Pendleton County and Harrison County. Those are my top 3 this year, with Mason close behind. -
Anyone know who will be attending the camp in Danville?

Most of the night Gilbert and Black had good shots, they just couldn't connect. Walsh did an EXCELLENT job on Setty last night. Almost all of his points came off tough put backs in the lane or FT's. Almost every one of his shots were contested. Simply put it like this, when PC needed a stop, they got it. Mason Co. had the ball in the wrong players hands at the wrong times. -

I agree if you are whining to the ref. But on the other hand if you talk to him in a professional manner, to watch for the shove off, or the illegal screen, like a captain of a team should do that is completely acceptable IMO. -

I agree with you 100%!!! They need to just play and let the coach do the complaining. There are some cases in where I understand where players can get frustrated with calls, but you have to communicate that to the ref in a positive manner! -

He SCREAMED at the ref. He deserved the technical for sure. -

He was getting hammered, but no one but the refs can make the call, so I doubt him saying anything would have any affect on the game. He just has to play and let it go. When he got the foul PC got rolling and didn't stop. -

Another key to the game I thought was Setty getting a T early in the game. Took him completely out of the game and only had 2-4 points in the 1st half. Michael Walsh did an excellent job on him in the 2nd half when they went to him looking to get a bucket. Congrats to PC, and good luck to the seniors of Mason county!! -

Coach Kelsch ends his career on a very thrilling note. This is only fitting he go out that way!! Great coach, but a better man overall. One of the most classiest guys I've ever met! -

Montgomery will be tough next year as they bring everyone back. Both PC and Mason have been on a roll as of late, so I look for Saturday's game to be a close one!! -
Boys 2011 10th region draw
TheSportsProvetto replied to bigblueinsanity's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Augusta has been up and down all year, but like I said with it being Coach Kelsch's last regional tournament, I think the panthers will be ready to play and send him out on a good note.
