Not nearly as much excitement in Maysville this year.

They are wrong again. Ashland had as much as a 21 point lead at one point.

Looks like Royals did fine except for 2nd quarter. One point is hard to understand. Royals did win 2nd half.

This is Mason County's JV team from last year without Harris and Black

This Mason team plays hard missing some very good players with injury right now..IT was tied up after 1 and then Mason only scored 1 point in the 2nd and this looks to be the issue lack of shooting..There half court defense looks good struggled on transitional defense though as a lot was because of long rebounds off the miss shots..They have work to do but will be just fine by years end...They play extremely hard There making up for...JV looked real impressive after there 2nd straight big blowout...

I would not say this was a huge win for Ashland, the more experience group between the two teams, but yet a good road win for Biggs and company. Personel wise they had the huge advantage, had to fight off a charge by the gritty young royals, a group of kids that refused to give up and without their two most experienced players, to me that is a good sign of things to come. mhighfield is not alone on this board, realistically every program goes through a more challenging year on the court at some point or another, but the school where tradition never graduates will continue on and will get better each day. If they stick together, buy in to Coach Ohearn and what he is teaching them, this group of Royals will be a tough out come late February and early March.

Can't lose heart. Mason is down but never out, too much of a winning tradition to have that happen. They'll always be respectable because they have those high expectations.
