The 2012 Mike Swauger Holiday Classic will be held Dec 21-Dec 22 at Bellevue's Ben Flora Gymnasium. A special dedication will take place (at approx 6:30), just before the 7pm game. The basketball court is being named Mike Swauger Court. Coach Swauger spent his entire career at Bellevue winning 285 games. He was also very vital in the start-up of the All "A" Tournament. Bellevue would like for any former players, collegues, friends, to attend this special event. This years tournament schedule: Friday December 21 3:30 John McGregor Secondary School (Ontario, Canada) vs Erlanger Lloyd 5:15 Williamstown vs Newport 7:00 Menifee Co vs Bellevue 8:45 Berea vs Carroll Co Saturdays games will be determined based on Fridays results.

Football boosters, sideline club, and other avenues of that nature are what help them "engage in indulgences". Gate receipts are vital to every sports program. Track, Cross Country, Softball, Golf, etc... would not be able to exist if it wasn't for football and in most cases, basketball gates. Highlands does a great job of keeping their pay to play fees as low as possible. So if he did keep the gate receipts from the Trinity scrimmage, he did it to benefit all the student/athletes at Highlands, not just the football players.
