  1. Forgive the gender slip Mr. Bubba. These days I have trouble telling genders apart even when I am in my car and pass a longhair. Good luck to your Royals. They should have less trouble with Russell shorthanded. Even healthy Russell didn't have "12" cylinders.
  2. I think Mason wins unless they turn it over. I hope Cooper runs wild and he'll have to. Without Davidson the defense will suffer. But I'd love to serve a taradactyl size crow to Ms. Bubba in the event she's mistaken.
  3. I listened to the Ashland/Ironton game on the radio. In between the crying over the officiating, it sounded like Hunter was running for his life. And I think that is the key to the game. Hunter has time I think Withrow and Whetsel will get open opportunities. If not JC wins and pounds it at Ashland with no sense of urgency. I believe the first quarter will make or break the Tomcats. I hope Ashland dominates, but would be less than honest if I said they should win. Matney seems to have their #.
  4. Didnt mean for the comment to come off as harsh. I sure didn't mean it that way. I think that the influx of kids in other areas in our region will always produce non-homegrown talent in individual schools. Olive Hill is an exception. However, I'm sure that in the event a stud moved into the West Carter school system, you'd freely drop the homegrown stance, correct?:thumb:
  5. Homegrown. I love that term. So what in Olive Hill would attract kids from somewhere like Huntington, for instance?
  6. Obviously looking up to verify my information is correct. Make those phone calls Ram.
  7. Where the hell are those crickets now?
  8. As a matter if fact, I am of the opinion that for this season at least, this may be Raceland's superbowl.
  9. Not much to say about Russell football. All the posters have gone with the exception of rfcinky and Mr Parker. They couldn't tolerate the Raceland bias. Prove my football knowledge to you? Why? You know it all. I know the reason the Raceland/Russell game took such a hiatus. Do you? I was there and saw that play in the endzone. Were you? As for this Russell team, they're gonna struggle from here without Davidson, Bailey and possibly Spradlin this week with a foot injury. The Hayes kid did something Friday that to my knowledge has never been done at Russell by rushing, catching and throwing a TD. You see, I have a bit more insight than you may think simply because I don't bow to your every notion. I have memory of Raceland football prior to Bill Tom Ross. I'm in similar generation to oldrambler it seems. But you young guys, especially you Raceland guys know more. I get it. I say you are mistaken on Fairview's take on this game and you question my knowledge. Typical. Hope this is in the correct thread, of course. Wouldn't want either of us to be accused of railroading this thread.
  10. Well, as some have said about Raceland, they don't lack confidence. One guy not a Raceland poster in this entire thread and I'm clueless. Amazing. And there's really any wonder why there aren't any more posters from the region? The slant on this board is only barely less skewed than the Highlands promotion. We have threads started and perpetated by Racelanders trashing Fairview and their scheduling. Now there are shouts from the rooftops that Fairview looks at Raceland as their superbowl. Raceland, arrogance is thy name. I know plenty about Fairview and Raceland. For Ram to assume otherwise shows his stripes, errrr horns. Hope the Eagles win by one.
  11. That was the 80's. I think McPeek has changed the mindset on how the season is viewed. No one game more important than the whole. No posters from Westwood to offer any rebuttal to the overwhelming Raceland slant on this board. I think this will be a good game. Fairview has the edge slightly in my opinion. Farley is the key for Raceland. Maybe there will be a Westwood poster somewhere in the woodwork who can start a thread about their "quality" scheduling in the event the Eagles prevail.
  12. It's amazing that Raceland posters think that Fairview thinks about them all season. Surely Nathan McPeek is brighter than that.
  13. I'm aware of the title. Yet some of the GRC/Mason posters can't seem to get over an incident that happenend 6 months ago still pointing fingers and throwing out blame. Maybe the road to better sportsmanship could start here. But I highly doubt that will happen. Some seem to prefer to operate with that bur under their saddle.
  14. Is this a football thread? I can't tell. I think some of you should let it go.
  15. I watched the jv game last night. Don't expect Russell to compete well with Ashland for the next few seasons.
  16. Yes, it's evident not everyone is equal when it comes to education and wit! Yet, you'll not find any Russell posters blaming unfair late scores by behemoths from Ashland. We got manhandled by a better team. You know the feeling?
  17. All the other Russell fans. Hmm. There are three of us. So, yes, I suppose I am the sarcastic one. Out of the hundred Raceland fans on this board, by your own admission, are you the crying one? Or should I say one of the crying ones? Here, I'll lose the sarcasm for a moment. I think the Rams demolish the Raiders this week. Now back to the sarcasm, maybe they'll be like Johnson's baby shampoo,,,,,, no more tears!!
  18. Nice reply. Anything is better than your incessant crying about how you've been done wrong. Step in the right direction. Maybe you can transfer your whining over to bashing me and it will help you get over your loss to GC. Glad I can help you in the healing process. I look at it as message board community service.:walk:
  19. Torn banners, classless coach, too big a kid running it late in the game. What's next? GC sprayed Pam on their jerseys?
  20. Wow. You're sharp as a tack aren't you? Devastating wit.
  21. Absolutely embarrasing. Plain and simple.
  22. If Russell can sustain drives like they have and can punch in a couple of TDs, I think that can keep the ball out of Ashland's/Hunter's hands. That may limit the total score some, but I'd be incredibly surprised if the Devils learned this week how to defend the pass. I suspect a 2 touchdown cushion for the Tomcats unless they put it on the ground a couple of times. Hope I'm wrong and Russell pulls it out, but that would have to be considered a monumental upset if that came to fruition.
