The game plan was definitively run heavy. Passes were short. I thought a couple of down field completions would have loosened up the running game, but this never happened. I got the sense that Racke was on a shorter leash this game.

Powell played, but not every series. I don't believe he is in game shape yet after his injury layoff.

Ryle was playing to get to OT. They were inside the their own 30.

That was the most clutch kick I have seen in high school ball. A 40 yd kick with 3min to go to tie it up. After a delay call no less.

This was a test that SK desperately needed.

Give Ryle credit. They were more emotional and physical. Ryle controlled the los for major portions of this game. A few less dropped passes and Ryle comes away with a w.

HHS has the roster of a 6A program playing in 4A. In fact, many 6A programs cannot get the 85 - 100 kids that HHS can get out. HHS has a depth advantage against every opponent they meet. SK does not.

Because SK does not compete in class 4A.

Yes, the scheduling was done for two years at the completion of the 2011 season, when the team was 2 - 9. I believe the 2 year cycle is the same across the state.

With BG and Highlands in the same class, state championships will be a lot more meaningful.
