  1. I wish I had an idea of what the Adult to Kid ratio is actually on here.
  2. I will take the "Dark Horse" Max Kilborn from Cooper. He started catching midway through last season and made his presence known rather quickly. His conditioning regiment and his attention to detail should help throw him up in this mix.
  3. If I'm not mistaken he was one of the first post on this thread. I agree, he is the front runner and IMO everyone is chasing him. I was just throwing out some other names. One other player that I should have added to the list is Arnzen - Cov. Cath..
  4. Blank - Cooper Brown - Lloyd Norton - Bishop Collins - Cooper Dunn - Cooper Kilborn - Cooper Fogle - Conner Price - Conner
  5. Norton - Bishop Blank - Cooper Collins - Cooper Brown - Lloyd
  6. Wow, this almost sounds like some disgruntled ex-Bluegrass people on here. At least that's what it sounds like. Is the club the best of the best? NO! But do they try to get the kids in the best situations possible without costing the parent an arm and a leg to play baseball in the summer? YES! Someone commented on here about how the club has went down hill in the last 2 years. What hasn't suffered in the last 2 years in this country. Money plays a big part in this and I'm quite sure if Bluegrass wanted to start charging $2K and up a per kid, per year, they would get to these showcase tourneys that people have discussed on here. Someone mentioned if kids were playing for Flames, Midland etc. they would be in better showcases. What do these teams charge the kids? From what I've heard the "All Mighty" Midland will not even have a team other than the Redskins team this year, supposedly dropping all the other age groups. Hmmmmm! ECONOMY! IMO, if anyone thinks that the kids and parents don't have do anything and they are going to count soley on a High School or Summer Team coach, that is a mistake. I do believe with all the technology out there now days, if your son is good enough to play for a D1 school they will find him. If your son is planning to go to college, then you had better get your business permit, haha! Because you have just started your own business. It is in the parents hands more than any of these coaches. In closing the Bluegrass Baseball Club does what it can, with what it has to work with. This is just my thoughts/opinion and everyone has one.
  7. Cooperstown, I guess time will tell if Cooper is meaningful or not. Gonna be tough to guage this one since you really don't know what they really have coming through the pipeline. Coach Beiger and his staff might have some surprising up and coming players to go along with their core group.
  8. For whatever reason Cooper forgot how to tackle. There were just TO MANY missed tackles.
  9. Read all the threads you want. I was there and saw Simpson still in the game in the second half, and that's a fact. Whoever posted that thread is full of it.
  10. I'm telling you, you better check your facts because I know he was in the game.
  11. I was at the game and Simpson WAS still in the games after half. I remember looking at my friend and telling them how stupid it was to even have him in the game, and that they better hope that he doesn't get hurt playing in a game that was meaningless at that time. You might want to check on that statement of SK pulling their starters after half, because you are sadly mistaken. Good Records for both teams over the last 5 years I'll give you that.
  12. That was the classiest 62-0 I had seen in quite some time. At least teams like Boone and Ryle would pull the starters after the 1st quarter. If I recall, SK even had Simpson playing both ways still late in the game. You are cracking me up, please inform us all what SK's record is over the last 20 or even 10 years. They haven't really been anything until the last 2-3 years.
  13. Why doesn't SK put Highlands on there schedule to get a true benchmark on were they stand? Not that I care for Ryle especially but at least they put "THE TEAM" on their schedule. Actually twice a year! It's good that SK finally after so many years, has a very good football team. I will say that what they did to Cooper last year was a CLASS ACT for sure.
  14. StraightShooter, once again I say this is a cop-out. If you think that Ryle, Boone, Conner and Cooper aren't going to try to beat the he!! out of each other for bragging rights alone, I think that's crazy. Cooper is the type of team, as a coach, I'm not going to take lightly because I know they are going to come out swinging and bust me right in the mouth.
  15. I didn't get to see this game, but from what I have been reading both teams played their butts off. The thing that I haven't seen anyone on this thread actually mention is that maybe Cooper might be a lot better than people even think. I get tired of hearing that this team or kid had a bad game. Not saying this doesn't happen, but this is usually more of a cop-out. Here's a thought........maybe Cooper created match up problems for Ryle. If anyone thinks that the Ryle kids didn't want to stomp them into the ground, then your crazy. The other thing is that Ryle is the only team from Northern KY to even play a close game with the best team up here, HIGHLANDS, so I wouldn't say that Ryle is overrated. Highlands might even be the best team in the state.
  16. I have watched this feed over and over. This really seemed to be a bang bang play. The runner had maybe 1 step before the ball was even received by the catcher sitting up the line. As far as lowering the shoulder or throwing out a wing, IMO, this is something done to protect yourself also. This is just an opinion base off the vid feed I watched. I hope the catcher is ok and is good to go the rest of the tourney.
  17. Great Job Boone! Just remember you made it there and no one else can say that from up here.
  18. That is good that Biegs will be back. I do hope that the assistants return, but if not I wish them the best also. Hopefully this whole process will be a learning process for all parties. IMO, if you come down on your team for something they did wrong you should be prepared to give them an "Atta Boy" if they do something right. If this happens I just feel that a kid, and they are kids, will respect and take one for you if need be. This again is just my opion, and again I am glad to see this return.
  19. I would concur with you Solomon about Sexton. I have seen him and I think he is very solid. Throws the ball hard and has a different look than other pitchers when he delivers the ball. JMO.
  20. It was a very exciting game. Combined 12 run fifth made for a loooooooong inning. Good Luck to both teams moving forward.
  21. VOR..........I could really care less. I made the comment because someone else commented that they only brought him down for Ryle and CC. Other post might show frustration, but mine does not.
