Tri Statefootball James Adams looks back at the careers of two great NKY players plus Regional Final Preview. NKY Report: HS Football 2012 Regional Finals - YouTube Congrats to Cameron Fogle of Conner and Tyler Durham of Campbell Co. Career stats are crazy. Both of these young men will be on the Best Of The Bluegrass KY State squad Dec 9th in Louisville

If that was the top 10 open field tacklers, then let them tackle. On side is a great weapon when the other team is not ready. Last year Conner on sided 7 times got 4, I believe. Do you think FC was not totally prepared for it this year? Then to on side from your own 20??

Clyde is right on. On side kicking is a strategy to gain an advantage, not to be used regularly. If that's the case, why doesn't everyone on side kick to let's say........Oregon? Same type of offense and I know it's a different level but my point is, KO squads should be your best open field tacklers. Not a place to put a younger player just to earn a Varsity letter. Unless he is one of your better tacklers.

Kick it out of bounds beyond the 35 yd line. Make them force you to keep kicking it and then decide to pooch or on- side it. If you fear getting every KO taken to the house, change personnel to make the necessary coverage. A staff should not fear a single player. Respect them yes, fear them no.

Football 101 is offensive power will win a game. Defense wins Championships.

1212, I understand totally but from your own 20? Give the D a little bit of a field to work with so that a single first down puts you in the red zone.

Let's put it this way. Even with the injuries, Cameron still plays at a very high level. Gives them the best opportunity to compete and win. I'd have him on my team any day and with the game on the line he is still the best option. True Beast mode.

Curtain, why the comments. He played a great game. Scored 3 TD. Rushed for well over 100 and over 100 receiving. One fumble and you make this statement like he had a bad game? One more thing, no excuses but everyone should know that he played the last 3 games with a stress fracture in his ankle and a broken thumb from last week. Now he can heal up a little before the Best of the Bluegrass game. Great season Cougars.

No he wasn't hurt. Kid kicked a 40 yd FG in 1st Q.

Also Conner had FC with 3rd & 4th downs with long yardage 15 and further 5 times. Played soft zone D every time resulting in 1st downs and eventual scores for FC. don't get that either because twice Timmons wasn't even on the field.

The biggest was due to a penalty Conner kicked off from own 25. Kicked it OB. FC made them re- kick from 20. Another onside kick?? FC ball on 30. Short field all night long for Conner D. Dont get it.

31 your wrong he was tackled because he did not kneel. Great game on both sides. As said turnovers was key to game. Best of luck the rest of the way FC. Should be one heck of a team for KY squad in the Best of the Bluegrass Game. Fogle and Timmons on same side of the ball.

Hey Birdie. Don't you have anything better to post? This may be the greatest informed post regarding a playoff game ever. Child please.

This will not be a "blow out" by either team. Stupid statements are difficult to defend. Both teams play 11 on the field at the same time. Both teams must be ready to defend whoever lines up across from them. This match up should come down to turnovers and special team performance. It will be a great game.

Back in early 2000's Harmony High School in Cincinnati, had an up and coming football program as a alternative high school for problem student athletes. They played a home and away schedule with Conner in the 03 & 04 seasons. They were busted with having several 20 year old players on the active roster after the 04 season. School was shut down shortly after. Kids were very athletic but could not play as a team.

No. Any given year a 4 seed can "make some noise". 09 -#4 SK made finals against Trinity. Back in the 70's only DIST. Champ made playoffs. Sometimes the better team does not win District.

I"m sure the first thing that goes through their mind is "Why did I choose this profession??"

Hey Dad read the whole post. Stuff between Cooper fans and Conner "brawls" was the referrals. Keep on the thread or start and new one. Maybe then it would be interesting.

Wow, this thread is getting hard to read. Player on CC originally thought to have come off bench actually was on punt return team. Glad they got it right. A moderator should shut this thread down, not even about the game anymore. Good luck to Cov Cath and all of the teams throughout the playoffs. Watch more film, people on here that never played might just learn something.

Brawl???? Why don't you look up the definition of a brawl. Clueless. Then where are all of the ejections from each of these horrible events?

Barkers and Ways are NOT related, just good friends.

Conners 22 did it again last night. Rushed for 1 TD, converted multiple 3 and longs on clinching drive to secure game. Also had a big time pick on D to stop a potential scoring threat. Biggest play of game will go unnoticed, break away scoring pass by CC, Fogle at safety on other side of field, runs down the receiver from behind tackles him on 6 yd line. Goal line stance 4 and out. No score. Big plays are made by big time players when it counts.

SK must have played the JV tonight? A very credible source told all of us that this was a sure W for Simon.

Colerain is waiting. @coachfish24 get them ready.

You have to look at overall on all 3 phases of the game. # 22 from Conner is still at the top of all the "stats" and missed the last two games. Not the same team w/I him. Fogle is clearly best all around NKY football player period. The others are very good and I'd take them on my team anytime.
