I think allot of these games being postponed is due to the government.:laugh:

Hopefully Ill be in a good mood around 4 or 4:30 when a certain game ends. That will lead me up perfectly to a 7 o'clock start for the rebels. And I should be in a even better mood when that one ends. Thats a whole lot of wishful thinking anyway.:banana:

Either way though water, dirt and grass dont mix well when it comes to solid footing and it could play a big part in the game if conditions are bad. I still look for Boyle to pull out the win either way. Regardless of field conditions both teams have to put guys out there on the field. If its muddy for Catholic its muddy for Boyle.

I was at that 1997 playoff game when Tim Persian and Bourbon Co. ran all over Boyle. The field conditions were terrible. Boyle has a much better field in terms of drainage. I think that game played a big part in Boyle rebuilding the field. I think it was around 99 or 2000 I remember it took two tries to get it right but there was a much better drainage system installed and the field was crowned so water would run off faster.

I think with boyles field as long as there is a couple of dry hours before the game it will be fine. The field seems to drain very quickly.

Its been 8 years since I was in high school so the numbers could be drastically different now.

I know Boyle and Highlands met a few years in a row a couple of seasons back. I would love for them to renew that game. Anyone recall what the records were from those two teams in those seasons. I have no clue. I do remember those games were a pretty big deal and alot of fun.

State semi's and 13-1 would be a pretty decent year to most schools!

Keep in mind though I'm a huge homer I think they should be number 1 in the country. Even on an off year.:ylsuper:

There has been numerous grumblings this year about how weak Boyles schedule is. Imagine the scrutiny if they were in 3A! Our non district schedule would have to include Florida, and Auburn just so people wouldnt gripe about Boyle not playing a tough schedule.

Statewide?

I hope Boyle does not have to step down. I do not think they are getting the respect statewide they deserve now because they are not in 5A or 6A. You will definitely hear more, "well they haven't lost but look who their playing" type stuff. I hope it isn't true.

Boyle 28 Lex Cath 14

Boyle tackling is some of the best ive seen at the high school level. They are not a very big team but are very fundamentally sound. Offense did look more balanced but they did have a couple of dropped balls that should have been caught. Overall another good win for the rebels. Go rebels.
