That's a joke man. Are you even hereing what you are saying! Oh, it was a 12 or 13 point game until the refs took over. That is not a game. That is a blow out. Western Hills cant hold a candle to Franklin County. Oh, and Andy Donavon has showed Mike Satterwhite up every time these two teams have faced off. -

Congratulations to Meyer on his 1000th career point. I'm sorry that I missed it. This is particularly impressive on a team that has very balanced scoring almost every season. Good win for FC, but they can't play that sloppy from here on out. -

I am not from Elliott County nor did I attend the game. I do know one thing though. When a team is outmatched in high school basketball they tend to be more physical to neutralize the game, and maybe try to get in the other teams head. This is a KEY stat, but just because Elliott shot more free throws does not mean that the officials were favoring them. Rarely can you blame the outcome of the game on officiating. It sounds to me like East was just more physical, and as a result, Elliott shot more free throws. -

That's what I figured. If I remember correctly, a few years ago an outmatched Franklin County team did the same thing and almost beat Frankfort High in the district finals. This was when High had Robinson, Current, and Hyatt. -

Why was this game so low scoring? Did Frankfort High try to hold the ball, or did Franklin County just shoot poorly? -

You're willing to make such a strong accusation that parents were cursing directly at a player and you're saying it came from the UPPER DECK! I was sitting higher than you were I'm pretty sure and I didnt hear that. Cursing is bad enough, but cursing at a player is absolutely absurd. I'm just having a hard time believing you. We've talked about this enough though. Good win for FC. Both teams fans need to cool it a little bit. -

Agree to disagree. I didnt hear anything like that, and I know most of the parents that were sitting in that section. It must have been that one guy. I was sitting right next to him, but I never heard him curse. If I had I might have told the cops to escort him out as well. That's a disgrace. -

Cursing? That is false sir. That's a bold accusation to make. I'm pretty sure I was sitting right behind you. There wasn't many people sitting in that section that weren't Franklin County fans. Also there was one man saying things to Penny, and I do agree with you, that is embarrassing. I actually asked him to stop a couple times and he didn't listen. At the end of the game when Penny reacted to the crowd so strongly some of the other Franklin County fans got upset. I never said a word during this, I just watched and listened. That being said, I was somewhat disappointed with how Penny reacted. He is a player. All he had to do was let his game speak for himself. The bottom line is an adult should never directly address a kid on the court. This is classless, but please don't make such strong accusations. I was embarrassed sitting next to this guy, but the other parents never directly addressed Penny. Some of them might not have even heard the one man interacting with Penny with it being so loud in that gym. -

Roothogability? Who are you, Dick Vital? I have known Vance for a long time and know exactly what you are talking about. I was playing a pick up game with him once outside and he took a charge on the concrete! He is as tough as they come. I feel like a Vance, Andy, and Barrett are all overlooked because the scoring is so balanced as someone mentioned earlier, but that is why they have had such a great season. If one scorer on there team has an off game, they have a few different guys that can step up and have a big game. This is a very talented team. I would not want to run into Franklin County in the post season. As for the game last night, it was very physical, especially near the end. The officials let the game get out of control. They were very inconsistant in the way that they called the game, and as a result, it got nasty at the end. Different crews make different calls based on judgement, but what they should always do is make the same calls all game. I saw Meyer almost get his head ripped off, no call. Later he got pushed into the scorers table just trying to run down the court, no call. I like physical play, but there is a point when you have to draw the line. -

I really hope I can catch a game when all these kids show up on the same night. I've heard there fan's are out of control so I'm scared to go to there games. These people take bad calls personally. -

Good win for the flyers but i would like to see this WHOLE team play well against a quality opponent. I'm not trying to knock on Western Hills because I know those district games are never easy, but I'd like to see them play to their potential against a top 25 team. Oh, and Meyer is grossly overrated. -

With as much parody as there is in Kentucky high school basketball i dont know if you can make that claim. That being said, they definitely deserve to be ranked on top. -

That's a bold statement. I'm honestly laughing out loud. You read something about Triche, but have never seen him play. He has the best body control of any player I've ever seen. He is very strong and he might START for a top 15 team in the country next year. Can you really say he is nowhere near as athletic as Johnson? -
I have to say I was not that impressed with Euton. I think he could be a good player at a mid major but he wont see the floor at UK. When I saw him play I couldn't believe he was offered by Gillespie. I agree with most of the posts, but I think Vance Hall is grossly overlooked, as well as everyone else on Franklin county. Franklin County's scoring is so spread out that not many people notice how good the individuals on their team are.
