  1. This game will be closer than most people think. I will take SK by three, because I believe they are playing better right now.
  2. For those who think I may have senility issues, I did have the score as 67-46 before I had a moderator fix it for me. As promised, here is the box score and other stats from today's 7th place game. 3. HC takes 7th place in the Gaslight Holiday Classic at Jeffersontown HS. I will try and post a box score and details later tonight when I get home.

  6. Jake seems to be bigger than I remember last year. Probably still has some football weight yet so wait until he gets in basketball condition to see how well he plays then which will probably be by the All "A" tournament.
  7. Complete box score available at the original thread from earlier today.
  8. Sorry it took so long to get this one posted. I needed a lot of drinks after this game. 9. Good win for the Pioneers considering they lost to this same team by 12 a week ago.
  10. Final Score from the Gaslight Holiday Classic Consolation bracket. HC will play the loser of the George Washington Carver, TN/Western game. I will try to post a box score and details after I have a "few" drinks.
  11. There is another link on YouTube to the full story on the TV station that aired it. I believe it is about 3.5 minutes long.
  12. Fern Creek plays Lloyd Memorial in the other Semifinal game. The Championship final is Thursday night at 8pm.
  13. Until someone beats the Red Colonels, I have to go Dixie by at least a dozen.
  14. Another slow start for the Indians...2-13 from the field and 0-8 from 3 in the 1st Qtr. Forced 22 turnovers and again, took 23 more shots from the floor and still lose. Box score from the 6:30 game at the Gaslight Holiday Classic (starters listed first): HC (3-4) - 6 21 15 12 - 54 NO (6-4) - 15 12 20 13 - 60 HC - Broering 2-9 0-0 4, Burger 6-16 1-2 14, Avery 2-6 2-2 6, Arlinghaus 5-10 1-2 14, McClendon 4-9 1-4 9, Allen 0-2 0-0 0, Thompson 1-1 0-0 2, Beal 0-1 0-0 0, Walker 0-0 0-0 0, Knochelman 0-2 0-0 0, Fuller 1-3 2-3 5, Totals 21-59 7-13 54 NO - Yates 2-4 0-0 4, Levitch 8-13 9-11 28, Shams 3-4 0-1 6, Menke 1-2 0-0 3, Rowan 3-5 3-6 9, Clark 4-4 0-0 8, Kozak 1-3 0-0 2, Steinfield 0-1 0-0 0, Totals 22-36 12-18 60. Other stats from the game...Burger and Arlinghaus had 8 rebounds each and Avery had 5 assists. This may have been the first time we outrebounded someone in this young season albeit by one rebound. Rowan for NO had 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
  15. Yeah, he played, I'll try to post the box score. Their guard, #5 Levitch killed us, he had 28.
  16. I didn's see Henley out there on the floor for North Oldham. At least, I didn't see him in a jersey and long shorts. We had 23 more shot attempts than the Mustangs. Again, you have to be able to score to have any press be effective and 36% from the floor isn't going to cut it.
  17. If Kentucky.com website is correct, Ballard is averaging 87.4 pts/game after the CovCath beating.
  18. J-Town was averaging 81.8 pts/game going into tonight's contest with Carver, TN...I'll have to check on Ballard.
  19. Hey, Walter, I chose pre-season for Clark to cut down the nets, but I can't argue with your pick. Probably should have gone with Clark over Jeffersontown in the final instead of Johnson Central in the finals...definitely a shot in the dark...ugh!!
  20. Box score, starters listed first: HC (3-3) - Allen 2-5 0-0 5, Burger 2-10 0-0 4, Avery 0-7 0-2 0, Knochelman 0-3 1-3 1, Fuller 0-3 0-0 0, Broering 5-9 0-4 14, Gabbard 0-0 0-0 0, Thompson 0-1 0-0 0, Fortner 0-0 2-4 2, Chames 0-0 0-0 0, Beal 0-0 0-0 0, Walker 0-1 0-0 0, Arlinghaus 2-6 0-1 5, McClendon 2-9 4-8 8, Schuler 0-0 0-0 0, Totals 13-54 7-22 39. NCC(2-1) - Bueter 0-1 0-0 0, Hightchew 5-8 2-4 12, Giesler 7-11 3-3 17, Miller 2-3 0-0 4, Doyle 3-10 0-0 6, Dupont 0-1 0-2 0, Shields 0-0 0-0 0, Ryan 4-9 0-0 9, Seibert 0-1 0-0 0, Devoto 0-1 0-0 0, Grosser 1-1 0-0 2, Schulte 0-0 0-0 0, Gruenschlaeger 1-1 0-0 2, Totals 23-47 5-9 52. HC - 4 6 18 11 - 39 NCC - 13 15 14 10 - 52 More stats from the game: Arlinghaus - 5 assists. Giesler - 22 rebounds, including 13 in the 1st half, 6 assists and 5 blocks. Hightchew - 6 assists. The scoring of this game was much like the Boone County game. The Indians came out cold and were down at one point in the 2nd Qtr 24-4. Halftime score was 28-10. The lead was cut to 9 at 4:24 left in the game, but that was as close as we got.
  21. In any game without looking at the final score, if your team has more FG attempts, more FT attempts, and less turnovers, who do you think wins the game? More often than not, I choose the team with those credentials. However, that was not the case in this game. Box score forthcoming.
  22. Probably a similar margin to the Tates Creek game, but a little more high scoring. I'll say Clark 69 Henry Clay 62.
