  1. Arlinghaus with put back at the buzzer to cut St Henry's lead to 32-31 after 3.
  2. Crusaders make a run to tie at 25...30 second TO HC with 4:43 left in 3rd.

  4. 30 second timeout Crusaders 2:08 left in the half...HC 16-10...Burger 7, Knochelman 6 to lead the Indians.
  5. Sloppy 1st Quarter...HC 7-5 Crusaders have 5 turnovers...Burger off the schneid with 4 points.
  6. Senior night at St Henry...8 seniors (Anderson, Gulla, Hils, Seifried, Jordan, Tobergte, Bessler, and Thorburn). Opening tip in 13 minutes.
  7. When the NCAA brackets their 64(65) team tournament, no conference can have more than 2 teams in each bracket of 16, so that those teams cannot meet until the regional final. Let's say that for this Kentucky Sweet 16, that no more than two teams from a region can be in the tournament so that they cannot meet until the State Final. What two teams from the 7th region would be in and how would that bracket look? I know it is comparing apples to oranges, but I am just curious to see what you come up with.
  8. I guess I have not been around Kentucky HS basketball long enough to comment on their rankings, but I can tell you that the state championship team I was involved with in Ohio was never ranked during the entire season and never in the others receiving votes or others to watch and finished the season 23-4. Those rankings like the tournament were in a class system. I agree that rankings mean absolutely nothing.
  9. While the likelihood is that Conner will win their first game against the Indians since 2003, Cross is looking to get on track and to play well going into the district tournament. Cross by 3.
  10. Can anyone confirm? I heard that Hatton will be too old to compete as a Senior in high school.
  11. Sorry, but for those of us like myself who have only been involved with Northern Kentucky basketball for a few years, what was MMI? Thank you in advance for responding.
  12. 9 1 25 would be correct then, probably 8 1 25 was a misprint.
  13. A friend of mine who used to work in the Channel 5 sports department heard that Mike Brown told his father shortly before he passed that the franchise could still make money and he didn't have to put a winning product on the field. That is all you have to know about the Brown family's desire and ability to please the fan base here in Cincinnati. I had and still have a tremendous respect for Paul Brown, but I have absolutely no respect for Mike Brown. I have not been a Bengals fan for 11 seasons and have never looked back.
  14. 7 - Calvary Christian 5 - Newport 3 - Cooper 2 - Scott 1 - Cross TB - Newport
  15. If that stat line is correct, then Ammerman had 8 threes, otherwise she just had 23 points.
  16. Highlands at Holy Cross was cancelled. Do not know if it will be made up as of yet.
  17. HC is 8-13 1-6 Home (Win - Cooper, Losses - NewCath, Mason Co, Brossart, Holmes, Newport, Campbell Co) 5-4 Road (Wins - Dayton, Bourbon Co, Lloyd, Dixie, Beechwood, Losses - Scott, Boone Co, Withrow, Ryle) 2-3 Neutral (Wins - Cumberland Co, North Laurel, Losses - Bryan Station, Campbell Co, NewCath) I cannot explain our home record. Is it who we've played at home? I don't know. I noticed in analyzing CovCath's stat line that they have not made a lot of three pointers this year. Is that because they don't shoot many or they don't have to shoot with Thelen's inside presence? I have not seen CovCath play this year, so that is why I am asking. Did Evans play against Scott? If he is unavailable against HC, then that leaves the Colonels with only one player that has hit at least 10 3's on the year (Riedinger). I have only been involved with HC Basketball for four seasons, fairly new to Northern Kentucky basketball. When was the last time that HC defeated CovCath? Thank you in advance for your response(s).
  18. Why would anyone make a statement like this? No team that has ever been O-fer against another team should come in with that mindset. I believe Cross will come in ready to play and hungry for a win against a perenially "ready to compete for a State Championship every year" team. If Beechwood doesn't stop the run, this one could be over early. I look for a close game, HC 20-17.
  19. What about the immediate future? I haven't seen the first two games, but intend on making the game @ Beechwood on the 11th. What are the Indians' chances in that one? Will the extra week help them (they have a bye this week)?
  20. The schedule I have has HCs game against Pikeville at Belfry...is that incorrect?
  21. At the very least, they should consider changing the scheduled times of the games. For example, the 1:30 game on Friday didn't start until after 2:30, because of all the awards presentations at halftime, during the game and between games. There were similar delays in a lot of the games scheduled for 1:30 and 8:00. Maybe a change in the schedule for 12:00, 2:00, 6:00 and 8:00 gametimes. Thoughts?
  22. Final Unofficial Stats Ethan Faulkner 20 pts, 8 reb, 7 TO, 6 Ast
  23. I was not at tonight's game, but if the New Cath game is any indication, their Sweet 16 trip will be short. Holmes cannot go through the motions for the first three quarters and then decide to turn it on in the fourth. That is a recipe for disaster against the caliber of teams down there.
