Very true and in those years HC was region runners up twice 89,93 and region champs twice 91,94.

To your first point I totally agree with you, we had no business losing to Cov Cath that night. To your second point, geography is obviously not what the KHSAA goes by. I live 4 blocks from Holy Cross and 4 blocks the other way is Taylor Mill( which is Scott's school district) who is in the tenth region. If I drive to the Courthouse of my own county in Independence, I'm now in SK's district, who is in the 8th region.

Totally agree with what you're saying but can you answer me one question, why did Ludlow and Beechwood switch Districts in the 05/06 season? There were no consolidations that I can remember? Look, you can say all you want about talent in each District coming around and going around, but CCH and Holmes have talent year in and year out, heck they have each won the state in the past 6 years. Like I said earlier, the District is what it is and I'm not complaining about it at all and there is really nothing any of us can do about it so we will go out and play the games and try not to think about it!!

Totally agree, honestly I think that the KHSAA sees COVINGTON Catholic COVINGTON Holmes and COVINGTON Holy Cross and they will never move any of them because of this. As an HC fan I sure wish they would, but it is what it is!

2nd chance points for Holmes and HC turnovers were the difference in the game.

HC cut it to 3 43-40 in the third but Dogs went on a 9-0 run that kept HC out of reach. 6 more wins than last year and only 1 starter graduates. Good luck to Holmes the rest of the postseason!

Totally agree Walter and as an HC fan this is very frustrating, but it is what it is. It was nice when Holmes went to the old 35th District from 1988 to 1996. In that span HC was region runner up twice and won the regional twice. Of course in the big District realignment of 1997 Holmes was put back in with CCH and HC in the new 35 th District and HC has struggled since then.

Holmes was knocked out by Holy Cross in the first round of the Disrrict in 2004. NCC didn't make it to the Regional in 2008 they were knocked out by Highlands in the first round via the blind draw.

The last time CCH didn't make the regional was in 2009 when they were knocked out by Beechwood in the first round of the District. I remember that game well it was at HC and I was doing the clock ! That was my senior year. ( We lost to eventual state champ Holmes in the first round) Dixie has won the regional since 2001. They won it in 2011 in 4 OTs over NCC. Another game I remember vividly
