Finally as soon as I post about no whistle there is finally one. They liked :13 seconds of playing for 9 minutes of game time without a whistle. Purdue leads 26-16 with 6:29 left in the first half. The have only been 3 fouls called so far total.

This is very rare there has not been a whistle since the 15:56 mark in the first half. They have played straight through the under 12 timeout. This prolonged playing is really hurting NC State's big man Burns he looks like a 50+ guy at the YMCA playing a pickup game right now. lol

Purdue leads 12-7 at the under 16 media timeout. Purdue is controlling the boards early and Purdue turnovers is allowing NC State to hang around.

Montverde wins the Chipotle High School National Championship over Paul VI 79-63. It is Montverde 7 National Championship in the last 11 years. Cooper Flagg (Duke) lead the way for Montverde.

Morehead has hired Jonathan Mattox as its next coach. Mattox was an assistant coach at Morehead for 9 seasons. The last two seasons he was an assistant coach at Murray State.

Also probably strikeouts he has 24 official at bats in 7 games this season and has struck out now 12 times.

A interesting stat this was UConn's 23rd final 4 appearance they are now 12-11 in the final 4 they are 11-1 all-time in the championship game.

So far in this tournament in Iowa's 5 games they have shot 106 FT's and their opponents have shot on 60. Iowa has made 21 more FT's (81) than the other 5 teams shot combined (60). In 3 of Iowa's 5 tournament games their opponents have made more FG's than Iowa. These things will have to happen on Sunday for Iowa to have a shot. I do look for the game to be more evenly called on Sunday as the NCAA have achieved what they wanted for ratings to get Iowa to the finals. I think Caitlin Clark is the best pure lady's scorer and one of the best passers I have seen in women's basketball, but we say it all the times in the men's game unless it is blatant let the players decide the outcome.

Arnold had two of those bad illegal screens called same player for Iowa ran in the screen and screams and falls down and the refs call it. I think except for two or three fouls were fouls, but I saw at least 3 or 4 UConn players fouled on shots that was not called.

Final a sad ending to a great game! For Iowa to win it all vs. South Carolina the refs will have to do even more than they did tonight and Clark will have to play maybe her best game of her career for the Lady Hawkeyes to win the title.

Can you believe with the game on the line a terrible moving screen was called insure the Iowa win. That was SAD!!!!!
