South Carolina leads 57-53 at the under 5 media timeout.

South Carolina starts the 3rd quarter on a 6-0 run to lead 55-46 timeout Iowa just two minutes into the 3rd quarter.

South Carolina held Caitlin Clark to only 3 points in the 2nd quarter after she set a record with 18 in the first quarter.

First Half Stats: Iowa: 15-33 from the field, 6-10 from 3, 10-11 from the line. 18 rebounds and 6 fouls. S.C.: 21-45 from the field, 5-11 from 3, 2-5 from the line. 27 rebounds and 10 fouls.

South Carolina closes out the half on a 5-0 run after trailing 46-44 to lead 49-46 at the half. The last play of the half was Johnson taking the ball from Clark in the open court and going down for a layup to end the half.

Tied at 44 with just under a minute to play in the first half. A really good game so far.

I knew there was no 3 point line during her time, but I did not realize they played back then with the men's ball. I coached both guys and girls there is a big difference between the two. However I will say the ladies that played back then it would not have been that big of an issue because they had nothing to compare it too.

Iowa could not have had the game start any better they lead halfway through the first quarter 20-9.

For those of us that see Alabama play several times a year and impressive stat in this game and a testament to UConn is that they allowed Alabama 0 fastbreak points for the game.

The Purdue Boilermakers (34-4) the #1 seed in the Midwest will take on the UConn Huskies (36-3) the #1 seed in the East. This is probably two of the teams a lot of people picked to play for the title. I think UConn is 10+ better than the Boilermakers, but that is why they play the game. I do not like or understand why the game has to wait and tip at 9:20pm. I personally don't understand why this game could not tip at 8:15pm or like 8:40pm at the latest. I'll get off my soapbox now. lol

It is not as bad as Cal's if that is what you are suggesting. Most of his is directed at the officials Cal's is directed at refs, players, etc.

Final. Bama kept it closer than anyone had so far but UConn is just too good. They will take on Purdue on Monday night at 9:20pm for the National Championship.

Ballgame a heck of a play that Hurley drew up during the timeout. UConn leads 80-68 with 1:21 to play. This one is over.

That was not a good 4 minutes for Bama with 4 to play UConn leads 73-63. I think barring a collapse by UConn this one is over.

The big thing about UConn they just do not give you anything easy on the offensive end they make you work extremely hard for everything.

UConn goes on another 8-0 run after Bama tied it at 56 to lead 64-56 timeout Alabama.

That was an impressive dunk by Nelson and it should have been a and 1 on Clingan.
