From what i have heard the other two kids played Varsity Basketball and not Varsity Football. Does them playing different sports make a difference?

I know Sears is a walk on but i dont know about the other three.

My brother is on the list (1st team) and i thought he would be joyful :ylsuper:but i was so wrong. From what he told me he doesnt really care about what The Cincinnati Enquirer said. I went with A. I was a Soph when my team won a state title (2004 St. X tigers) and if i hadn't got one then i wouldn't have gotten another one. I played scout team all year and got to dress a hand full of games that season. But I put in the same amount of time as the Jr's, and Sr's did and took my share of bruises as well. It's one thing that a kid shouldn't miss out of because they think there will be another chance.... So i say get it.

12-7 is not a whipping last i heard.

I was part of the 2004 St. X state team. I got the Gold ring then and it cost me $652 then. But we only had 14 small diamonds on it and the rest was just gold.

The QB wanted to come to St.X to play football but wouldnt be able to because of playing Varsity as a Soph, he would have to sit out his Senior year.

And another thing that is bothering me u say Highlands Manhandled Cinni X but the score was 12-5. Yes StX lou lost to them (24-7) but that last 2 score came late in the forth with underclassman trying to make a name for himself and after that game the problem was delt with. Ok You say they are track starts but i think that they have to wear pads when they play football. It is very rare that a kid can run track fast and be able to run fast with pads, avoiding tackles, and holding onto a football at the same time and be at the same speed. StX played Highlands in '05 and '06. the '05 score was 45-0 and the StX defense only played a total of 28 plays Tigers win. The '06 score was closer 35-21 Tigers win. But i think most HHS fans are not looking at Cinni X's Schedule this year leading up to there match up. Colerain, Indianapolis Cathedral, Louisville St. Xavier, Trinity High School, Highlands High School. The last i heard the first 4 teams are pretty good yes Trinity was down but still thats one wicked hard schedule. i and not going to take anything away from the HHS team. The Cinni X win is an outstanding accomplishment even though only by 5 its a win. But i am trying to make a point in that maybe Cinni X could have been worn out with the first 4 games....teams are known to do that but none the less they lost. All that said i pick StX(Lou) over Highlands anyday. Go Tigers

All this talk about Coach G's gesture is nuts, wrong yes, but i didnt see it. But i have noticed that no one has said anything about Brad Kragthorpe's gesture after his TD pass. He get lifted up by a Lineman pointed to STX side then, shurgged his shoulders and shook his head. There motavation for the Defense right there and the rest of the STX team. I am not saying Coach G was right by any means of tipping his hat bc he is suppose to be a role model but things happen in the heat of the moment that you cant take back.

I looked up the finals teams and results for 6A formally 4A for the past 20 years, 19/20 have had a team from Louisville, it has but 13 years since the last time a non Louisville Team was in the finals. I am just saying I think there is a reason why it is held in Louisville each year.
