  7. North vs. DH pregame show starts at 7 pm on www.pegasussportsky.com
  8. Nothing concrete. As of Saturday, they were still talking with the doctors and doing tests. Speculation is all over the place, ranging from out 2 weeks to out for the season. All injuries are unfortunate....senior year injuries are particularly sad....he got hurt on a "hustle" play, diving for a steal attempt in the backcourt. Here's wishing him the best....I hate to see a senior having to sit.... CM
  9. You are correct. The lone underclassman starter at North is Grant Neal, who is a junior.
  10. Who: North Oldham (13-5) vs. Dixie Heights (3-7) When: Tuesday, 1/10/23 Tipoff 7:30 pm ET Where: North Oldham HS, Goshen, KY Broadcast: FREE, live, hi-def video coverage starts at 7 pm ET on www.pegasussportsky.com Top 10 North Oldham faces off against the Dixie Heights Colonels in an 8th Region - 9th Region faceoff in Goshen. Dixie Heights is 3-0 against North Oldham, all-time, including a 71-65 victory last January. The three games were decided by 4, 6, and 9 points - and the 9-point DH win came in OT in 2016. North will play without their second game without the services of junior shooting guard Jack Scales (12.3 ppg, 50 made threes in 16 games at 41.7%). Jack Fischer will get his second straight start in Scales' stead; Fischer had team-highs of 16 points and 9 rebounds on Saturday against Lloyd Memorial. After back-to-back 20+ win seasons, DH is entering a pivotal part of their 2022-3 schedule. After facing Top 10 North Oldham, Dixie will face a 12-win Highlands team, Beechwood, Top 20 Mason County, a very tough Lloyd Memorial team, and Walton-Verona, which has been in the top 20 this season. FREE video coverage starts at 7 pm on www.pegasussportsky.com.
  11. FINAL: North Oldham 60 Lloyd Memorial 56 Jack Fischer, filling in for the injured Jack Scales, led North with 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting and tied for team honors in rebounding with 9. Isreal led Lloyd with 25 points, including a monster three pointer at the final buzzer.
  12. Starting shooting guard Jack Scales, one of the top three point shooters in the region, is out with a shoulder injury. Jack Fischer will start in his place for North.
  13. On air in 5 minutes.....JV game ended with North winning with a running clock, but the varsity game WILL start around 6 pm.
  14. Broadcast starts with a 30-minute pregame at 5:30 pm ET on www.pegasussportsky.com
  15. All points well-taken Owl...and I certainly hope that all the CAL girls got in the game on this one. The KHSAA stats don't seem to indicate that, but the KHSAA online stats are also often very suspect. To your point, though, I do note that all nine of the girls listed as having played did have at least one "stat" - even if it was a missed shot. So perhaps the other 6 did play, but just did not register in the stats. In which case I certainly withdraw my comment, above. As usual, you raise a valid point.
  16. Um, er, 😳 They more than doubled the margin after the game went to a running clock....did they make any effort to just slow down a little? I wasn't there....I don't know....for all I know, they only shot 30 footers after halftime, but they all went in, anyway. But this is a really hard score to justify on the surface. Under almost any circumstances. Here's the CAL roster on KHSAA: https://khsaa.org/roster_view/new.php?school_id=53&sport=bkg&level=varsity I count fifteen kids on the roster. According to the stats, NINE of these 15 played in this game. The other six kids - that's 40% of the roster, for the mathematically challenged - have to be asking themselves "What does the margin have to be for me to get in a game??????"
  17. Great trivia... The coach for Warren East (Jenny Neville) is cousins with North Oldham's Katelyn Vize... AND RaeEllen Jones, the post player for Warren East, is also a cousin of Katelyn's. RaeEllen's parents are an assistant coach for WE (Nickie Jones) and bookkeepeer (Jimmy Jones) are cousins of Katelyn's family... I just hope to be invited if this is a familly reunion and somebody's bringing food.... 😁🙄 Both teams looking to develop some consistency and hoping that this game gets them started in that direction. www.pegasussportsky.com 1 pm ET
  18. I'm inclined to agree, but I haven't seen LM this year. I understand they have two D1-caliber kids, but do they have the supporting cast? As North found out Tuesday night against Seneca, sometimes one player can ruin the party (see House's 31 points for Seneca on Tuesday, a game won by North on a buzzer-beating putback) They haven't played nearly as many games as North, or as stiff of a schedule, so one would think North is further along in their development this year... Could it be that Lloyd simply hasn't stretched their legs yet? I'm really curious to see the Juggernauts. Early game (tip at 6 pm). Pegasus is on air at 5:30 pm. CM
  19. Looking forward to seeing the Jugs tomorrow. I haven't seen them this year. Kind of surprised at their schedule....they haven't played a lot of games....Are they just starting to jell, perhaps? LM vs. North Oldham in Goshen. Free live video on www.pegasussportsky.com beginning at 5:30 pm ET
  20. Who: North Oldham (12-5) vs. Lloyd Memorial (6-3) When: Saturday, 1/7/23 Tipoff at 6 pm Where: North Oldham HS, Goshen, KY Broadcast: Free, live, hi-def video coverage starts at 5:30 pm ET on www.pegasussportsky.com North Oldham has 5 of its last 6; Lloyd Memorial has won three in a row. Something has to give tomorrow night in Goshen as the two teams meet for the first time in the two programs' history. North just scraped by on Tuesday, sneaking past a scrappy Seneca team, 65-64, on a last-second offensive putback by Luke Anderson, who finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Dallas Roberts had 29 to lead the Mustangs. The win kicked off a four-game home stand (prior to the Seneca game, North had been home for only 4 of 16 games). After LM, North will face Dixie Heights next Tuesday (live coverage on www.pegasussportsky.com) and Meade County at home on the 13th. Lloyd - wo will face Holmes on the road on Friday the 6th, the night before this game - took out a gritty Beechwood squad, 61-53, on Tuesday night behind 26 points and 11 rebounds from Jeremiah Isreal, who spent practically all night at the line: He hit a whopping 14 of 16 free throws. Isreal is averaging 20.9 ppg and 8.9 rebounds. This will be the third game in a six game road trip for LM, which started with the Beechwood win.
  21. Who: North Oldham Lady Mustangs (7-7) vs. Warren East Lady Raiders (4-8) When: Saturday, 1/7/23 1:30 pm tipoff Where: North Oldham HS Goshen, KY Broadcast: FREE, live, hi-def video coverage starts at 1 pm ET on www.pegasussportsky.com It's been an up-and-down year for a North Oldham team that some feel has a real chance to make some noise in the 8th Region. The Lady Mustangs are coming off a loss to Assumption on Wednesday - and will have another game Friday night versus Western - as they get ready to face the Lady Raiders. Transfer Elizabeth Boyd is giving North Oldham a double-double average, with 13.6 ppg / 10.3 rebounds. Though not quite the scorer that the graduated Riley Neal was (Neal graduated as the all-time leading scorer in Lady Mustang history), Boyd has been a solid scorer and a dominant worker on the glass. Gracie Sipes (12 ppg), Katie Smith (9.8 ppg), and Katellyn Vize (8.2 ppg/7.5 rebounds) give North a balanced attack. North's Achilles' this year, though, has been at the line, where the Lady Mustangs are hitting just 52.6% of their shots. Warren East has also been up-and-down of late, splitting their last six games (pending Friday night's game at Barren County). Scoring has been a challenge for WE; the Lady Raiders have been held under 50 points 8 of their 12 games to date, and have scored 40 or less four times. Like North, free throws have been a bit of an issue (56.6%) for WEHS. Nobody is in double digits right now for the Lady Raiders, but they feature five players who are all averaging about the same number of points per game.
  22. Furious rally by BC, but Oldham weathers it and wins. FINAL Oldham County (7-5) 37 Bullitt Central (11-3) 32 Oldham ends the game with star (leading scorer) Adriana Palazzolo on the bench. She appears OK, but hit the floor hard - she was already playing with a sore foot - in the first half. She entered the game briefly in the second half, but left quickly and never returned.
  23. Oldham County with a stunning 33-18 lead with just 6:18 to play in the game... www.pegasussportsky.com
