Thursday games are better matchups and IMO the upper bracket is the toughest road to the final. Clark and Scott, if it happens, is usually a competitive game. It would be there first meeting this year since the regular season game was cancelled by Scott.

This poster's comment from the earlier thread about All A parking. You extreme Northern Kentucky people are the ones that are truly laughable, in more ways than one. I GUARANTEE you if Mason County charged $3.00 or more to park at the 10th region tournament there would be 500 posts in various threads and everyone of you know it and for the last time it's NOT the charge that is the problem, it's having to pay for something that you NEVER have had to. And for the ones that think Regents Hall is all that, are you kidding me? Campbell County Middle School would be plenty big enough for this event during any year. I actually hope now Mason County charges $5 to park this year at the region and raises ticket prices. I think we can see the motive for the recent post about parking at the Fieldhouse.

No excuses from me. If you check the prediction thread for this game I had it at Clark 70 and Montgomery 62. So it went about the way I expected. I would have loved a bigger margin but Montgomery is not usually going down easy in this matchup. I will hate to have to play them again this year if it so happens in the regional.

Sounds promising for the future and let's hope the rivalry continues if they are split. I enjoy going to The Arena it is a nice facility.

There is an error somewhere in the number of fouls being discussed on thi board and I'm not sure what is the total for the game. Because you are right about both teams being in the double bonus in the second but Montgomery also shot the double bonus in the first half. So that would be at least 20 for GRC.

Not sure where you were at but from the GRC side I could see a lot of Montgomery fans up screaming at the refs and not just in the student section.

Yes I would have because I thought it was that bad. You are correct the reason the game was close was not the refs because they were mostly a wash since it was bad both ways. You are also correct GRC made the game close themselves with mistakes and Montgomery made the game close because they played well. Those are the reasons it was close and not the offciating. A Montgomery and GRC game is almost always close because it is a good rivalry between two teams they play very hard against each other.

That was as bad of a miss on the charge/block that you can get. I had the same angle as the ref. and was stunned by the call. I'm GRC, but there was almost no contact at all and Bopper slid to get the brush of contact. Of course as a GRC fan I appauld his effort and enjoyed the call but that is what fans do. A couple of plays later with slightly more contact and position the call went the other way. I don't think most of the posters are trying to use the refs as an excuse the game was close. Montgomery played well and they are a nice team with a little size they would be a very good team. Most of the comments on the refs are saying the calls were equally bad both ways. The refs just had a bad night and people are commenting on it because it is part of the game and it was a very noticeable part of this game. I for one am very happy with the win. That is all that matters now, win and advance.

Daniel's replacement was at the scorer's table waiting to get in when the 5th foul was called. Without using a timeout there wasn't a chance to get him out and we could discuss the pros and cons of that option all night. Hindsight being 20/20 I would have called the timeout but in real time I probably wouldn't have. But that play definetly changed the game.

I thought he had done a nice job with this year's team. They were much improved from the beginning of the season. It is a shame he couldn't have finished the season. Good luck.

Not when you look at who is in their district or at least the current alignment. But it is what it is, not their fault. And I am not saying that they wouldn't have but up impressive numbers in a tougher district. Love them or hate them they have been as consistant a program as anybody in the state.

The good thing about the refs was that their calls were consistanly bad for both sides. I'm not sure they got a charge/block call right for either team all night. But a win is a win and now we wait for the drawing on Saturday. Daniel had a nice offensive game what little he got to play. I also beleive GRC had the bigger crowd. Michael Martin had been a nice player of the bench the last few games also. Always makes a few hustle plays.
