Great game by the Ladycats in this one.

Bivens was in foul trouble the entire second half. She picked up two quick fouls (her 3rd and 4th) in the first minute of the 3rd quarter. Therefore, she sat the rest of the third, and half of the 4th. She still finished with 14 points. The two guards, Borgemecke sp? and Cheatum both played with 4 fouls for pretty much the entire second half. Feldhaus had a great game, and really set the tone in the first half. Like npt said, Newport handled this game for 26 minutes. Costly turnovers gave Bellevue a chance to get back in it, they took full advantage of the opportunity and never looked back. Great game by both teams

If you watch them play, their entire attitude on the court has changed. They have a certain confidence now, a certain attitude, that wasn't there before. Come watch 'em tonight.

CovCath plays Bellevue tomorrow. Should be a fun one

Feldhaus and Bivens both had solid performances.

Amazing rivalry, both gyms are usually packed for this game (boys and girls), just a great atmosphere.

Obviously, Holmes is a huge favorite in this game, as they have handled Newport pretty easily in the past few match-ups. However, I wouldnt be completely shocked if Newport came out, made this a very close game and even pulled off the upset. This place will be rockin' @ Newport and I think the boys will feed off the excitement. Look for Green to have a big game tonight.

Their playing teams up in class that may not be having a great record but they are up in class. It's similar to a team in a bad conference in football playing a team like Duke in football. Duke may not have the greatest record in the world, but they are in the ACC which is a decent football conference. Lloyd is a better quality opponent than the other Class A opponents (with the exception of Beechwood) for Bellevue to face. Their not going to schedule someone like Highlands or CovCath, what would the point be? It's a fine schedule for Bellevue.

Agreed completely. They both need each other in order to obtain success, which they seem to do week in and week out.
