He would be my 2nd favorite player of all-time. On the court you had to admire his heart and work ethic... I even liked his off the court stuff. The wedding dress at his book signing in NYC was genius. He told everyone he was unvailing his wife so a ton of people and cameras showed up. That guaranteed more free publicity for his book... Genius business move.

Not the same... In sports, statistics are not everything. I know in todays sports scene all we ever hear about are statistics but there are other intangible things that can produce results. In Vicks case, the man won games. Anyway you want to try to slice it, he got to the playoffs and even won in the playoffs.

Last year I went to a Cubs vs White Sox Game at Wrigley and my fiance had bought me 3rd row seats behind home plate for my graduation gift. The Cubs came from behind and won on a walk-off homer from Aramis Ramirez. Most amazing atmosphere I had ever been a part of; Got to sing "Go Cubs Go" on a beautiful afternoon in Wrigleyville on a walk-off against the hated Sox with 3rd row seats. I'm smiling as I think of it now.

I have had the Pepsi throwback and thought it was very good.... I didn't know that there was a Mountain Dew throwback. Ill have to look for that next time I am out.

Theroit hits a homer to give them a 3-0 lead against the Giants. That is 3 dingers this week for him. Nice to see a little power surge from him considering the parts of the lineup who are struggling; mainly Soto and Bradley

this week starts off with finding out Big Z on the DL for 2-3 week with a hamstring strain. Not a good way to start the week :ohbrother:

Soriano goes from 3 K's to start the game to a homer to tie the game up at 2 all. Is it bad that I got a little more pleasure out of that because it was off of LaTroy Hawkins??? :lol: I never liked him while he was with the Cubs.
