I am of the opinion that Euton will or should be found eligable to play. Bylaw 6 -section h-3 should be ruled unconstitutional. No one should have the right to impede your choice of schools as long as a bona fide change in residence, necessitated by employment, is made. This move , no matter to where, should negate section H-3 added to qualification as a stipulation. In the event he enrolled prior to the official moving date , the KHSAA should overturn their initial finding when appealed. Mr. Eutons statement to the press should have no bearing on the finding of the KHSAA. Basically , Mr. Euton simply said - I have to move to get a job and my son wants to play ball. It just happened to be at Scott Co. There is nothing wrong with that. I think some of the KHSAA rules need to be disposed of.

I've been waiting for someone to report on Russells new coaches and their different style of play , how did they look ?

Maybe both players could play in W.Va. or Ohio. Would that make the KHSAA happy ? What a waste of time ! No court is going to rule against either player ! They will both play this year at Scott Co. IMO.

Mr. Eutons statement to the press was secondary and the finding will be changed . It doesen't matter where he transfered to play ball if his father found a job in that area. He will be playing at Scott Co. this year. The KHSAA will look really bad by the time this one is over.

I was told by one of the parents that the lady Devils will be playing at Raceland Monday and Tuesday some time around 4:30 or 5:00 pm.

Well we have all heard the rumors on here about girls not playing for Russell this year and I was informed that Reed had his first team meeting today. So someone tell us, is Parsley playing ? Did they lose any girls from last seasons team ? Did a new player transfer in ? Are there any new players from Russell coming out to play ? Somebody in the know help us out !

Don't know much about Ironton , but I can't imagine anyone wanting to move there from Russell. I have been hearing that Russell is getting a transfer that plays inside and is a tall and strong player. I guess time will answer for us.

Anyone have word on Reeds assistants ?

I have heard that Cassidy and Reed have remained good friends over the years and also Reeds daughter and Cassidy are friends. Shouldn't be a problem and it may be instrumental in getting new girls out to the team. Cassidy is well known and liked by the girls at Russell as a lot of them have played for him in one sport or another over the years. Reeds daughter is also well liked by the girls. Hopefully , between the three they will get something positive going for the girls program. But what about the assistants that Kidwell had ? Did they go with him?

Looks like GC is a very strong team ! They may go deep into the state before finding a comparable rival. Good luck the rest of the way.:thumb:

It always looks so easy from outside the fence. Maybe the coach saw or knew something we didn't ? I agree you almost always go with your best and try to get the win but who knows what he was thinking ? You still have to play D and have a break or two in a close game. It only takes one swing of the bat or one bounce of the ball to win sometimes ! Congrats to both teams for a good season.

^ You are so right ! Scott will be on the sidelines next season. Even if by some chance he is not at GRC he will have a coaching job in thirty minutes !

One of my friends aunts use to work there and she said he is really a nice guy but a very hard coach , also coached softball ,and was better suited as a boys coach. I watched the girls team play down here last year and they were pretty good but had no bench. They played three or four middle school girls. I do remember a tall red head that could flat out play though.

Is this the same guy that was there in the 90s ?

Actually he has done such a good job they don't have a problem.:thumb:
