Shelby wins 15-8.

This should be a good game as both teams are playing really good right now. Any OC fans want to chime in?:ylsuper:

On the call I asked about the runner on first was running on the pitch to the plate so he did not tag up he was forced to go back to first before the ball gets there. So the run should not count right if there is a force out in that case.

Had another call for you guys. There is one out, runner on first and a runner on third. Batter flyes out to right field but the runner on first took of running. The fly ball was caught and then the right fielder throwed the ball to the pitcher covering first for the 3rd out. the kid on 3rd was taging. Should the run have scored or not? If so what is the difference when you turn a double play in the infield 6-4-3 to get out of a bases loaded inning. Also we had a umpire call a baulk Friday and said that either the shortstop or the second basemen needed to be close to the bag if the pitcher rotated around to fake a throw to second.

Shelby has Brandon Roberts who starts JV as the catcher. He also pitched last week against Trinty's Jv team and beat them 3-2. Was not at the game but fans said it was a great performances.

Where is this played at?

Look at their schedule. They have lost ever game and only close in one. So I don't think that the redistrict thing will do any good either. It is a same cause the kids are trying but the coaches are not that good and they only have a hand full of kids that come out to play. It is just the what happens with an independent school, very few kids to be good. So keep working hard Warriors.

Wow!!!! Western Hills must be for real. Who pitched for Creek and Hills?

I was not at the scrimmage but he is doing very well. He has closed up a hole a 3rd base for them and has added a great bat in the line up. He has had a couple of hard gap shots that has got them going. He is a very solid player and should really start feeling comfortable with his spot on the team. He also is going to do some pitching for them and can't wait to watch that.

Shelby won 10-2 on some solid pitching from Dylan Ashcraft and Dean Coleman. Shelby had 10 hits in the game and made some very good plays in the field. Meade Co. had a second baseman that hit one out in the gap at Shelby and that is a shot, way to go kid:ylsuper:(wish I had a name). Was a very good played game, they played 5 innings in about 1 hour 45 mintues.

Who are the teams?

It was a scrimmage people. The games have started so see how both teams have done so far. Shelby lost to Male and won against Meade Co. so they are 1-1. Don't know anything about Owen.

I think the score was 6-3.

What is the rule for underclassmen that play at the varisty level but then want to transfer to another school? Do they have to play some many innings or could 1 at bat or 1 inning of play lock them in at that school? trying to get this straight. Thanks

If they had one they didn't use them. the kids that they threw did a good job and made the plays behind them.

Just a little update on a scrimmage Saturday. Shelby vs North Bullett. Shelby starting pitcher struggled throwing strikes and had a bad 1 inning and NB scored 4 with only 1 hit. Shelby scored 1 in the bottom with Clarson hitting a triple in the gap and scoring on a pass ball. Both teams swithced pitchers about ever 2 innings and they did a good job after that. They played a bunch of innings with the younger kids getting in after the 5th. Shelby has a great young group of talent and will make a difference with time. They are going to struggle with pitching and NB look like their pitching was better than average as a team.

Eminence tried to quit and the umpires said no.

Shelby will be better than people are expecting. When Shelby and Anderson get together it should be a good one. Just hope that Anderson does not try a beat the most runs in a game again when they play Eminence.
