Manual should have fared better. No excuses. Add another player to the injury list as 6-10 Nikolic took a fall on a sprained ankle and left the game in the 1st quarter. Tried to return in the 4th but the ankle sprain was a bit much.

How good would you be two and three days after getting a full cast removed from your leg? Give a kid a chance to get recovered then put your squad on the court against Manual with Jenkins at full force.

The cast came off Jenkins on Tuesday and was playing just two days later. He has not conditioned, shot around, nor practiced for weeks. It takes five to ten days for the strength to come back and the stiffness to go away. Some of the stiffness appeared to go away as he re entered the game in the 4th and went for 11 points. A day of rehab tomorrow and another game Monday will help speed the recovery. Its only a matter of time before he's back to form.

Manual got out to a good size lead in this game from the onset. Manuals coach used the bench in the 2nd half until Adair closed the gap to two points in the 4th quarter, then the starters re-entered the game. Jenkins in his first game back from injury racked up 7 assists in this game. Good win for the Crimsons against one of the best out of the 5th region.

Sean Samsel from Manual has impressed. In the 7th region you didn't hear his name mentioned as one of the better point guards. He's been playing pretty well since Jenkins went down with his injury. He did make the all tourey team in the KOB this week. He was 2nd in assists for the tourney behind the leader in assists Siva. With Jenkins return Manual's back court should be one of the better ones in the state.

This game was a joke. Looked like a jv game with the players that played. Manual didn't show up to play and their coach played his bench players for most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They shouldn't be allowed back in the KOB if they aren't going to play to win.

Most people didn't expect Manual to be within 25 points of J'town in this game without their best player Jenkins playing. What a hard fought game that was fun to watch. Congratulations to J'town. How good will Manual become when Jenkins returns? Did anyone notice how much the 6' 10"Alex Nicolic has improved for Manual? He's getting better with every game. Tough call on the blocked shot in the 4th quarter which fouled him out of the game. Could have easily been a no call. Him fouling out really hurt Manual. Nicolic was the only one able to grab rebounds for Manual. Man the 7th is a tough region this year. There will be some surprising upsets this year in the 7th.

If Jenkins is in the line up, do the Crimsons have any chance at all against J'town?

I agree with you! Some other players on Manual's team are starting to step up in Jenkins absence, which will make manual much stronger when Jenkins returns. Tre Jones has really stepped up his game. The center Alex Nicolic is getting better with every game.

Jenkins is the leader of this team. While he is out with his injury, Manual's chemistry is a little out of whack. Samsel missed one game and is not playing at 100%, meaning Manual hasn't played with any consistant players on the floor for some time. Jenkins return should settle things down for Manual. It's still early in the season with alot of basketball to play. Hopefully, this stretch will make Manual stronger at the end of the year because of the experience some of the others picked up in his absence.

If Billy doesn't want him I know we want him in Louisville. I saw him at a recent Louisville game with his Mom and Dad. I hope we see him wearing Red in 2 years.:banana:

Saw an top level AAU game this past summer at Spiece Field House where one team never attempted a free throw in the game and lost by 4. The other team shot 22 Free Throws and yes they were a spiece team.:lol:
