  1. Oh, and IU's 2009 class is wrapped up including Jordan Hulls of Indiana whom this year's Kentucky Allstars will face.
  2. A very true statement. I think coach Ford knows a little about how Kentucky boys play.
  3. I don't know Jenkins full list, but do know Oklahoma State had a coach in to meet with Manual's staff and is recruiting Jenkins recently. A few other new schools have picked up with Jenkins from the MAC and A-10 conferences. Its good to see this young man has his options while getting thru this season.
  4. Jenkins is the most humble kid around. You can try and put a chink in the armour if you wish. He brings confidence to the floor and absolutley lets the game come to him. At 6'4 and the total package to play guard, I can see why his college options are still expanding even though he's been out. Looking forward to the discussions this time next year on Kentucky's seniors and where they are at how they are performing at the next level.
  5. Its a darn good thing there's a lot of good games to be played including the tournaments. Maybe that will help Kentucky get the legit talent in proper order. It sure would be nice to get it right for once.
  6. Well, you figure head-to-head on the court counts. How about the KY Allstars when they played on the same team. Elite Camp maybe. Derek Smith Shootout. Sanford does have one thing over Jenkins, he's healthy.
  7. Debating politics on who will be voted on is a tough straw to pick. Here's some concrete picks: Top Players at positions Riley - PG Jenkins - SG Hood - WF Pittman - PF Phares - C
  8. There's been many say Jenkins is the best and these are knowledgeable coaches. As far as Sanford ahead of Jenkins, well, if play on the court counts, then Jenkins has the upper hand. Jenkins healthy and against Lex Cath at PRP it wasn't close. Jenkins outshined him across the board. I really hope he gets back on the court at full strength. He's the total package and you saw it when he took the court against St. X.
  9. Word is Riley and Jenkins were a nasty a combination this summer. I know Jenkins played extremely well with him at the point.
  10. I'm also looking forward to seeing the KY Allstars take on Indiana this year. Wonder who will stand out and lead Kentucky this year.
  11. Cox is a nice player, but he is not even in the top 3 in the 7th region. Politics as usual. Looking forward to seeing how this list performs at the D1 level in college. Its not about the talent with these lists.
  12. Jacob Jenkins, barring injury, would have won Mr. Basketball this season. There's no doubt in my mind that had he been healthy was the state's top player. There's still time left for this young man to state his case.
  13. He's not been 100% since getting released. The way he played against X, you would have thought he was closer. He needs to get back to where he was this summer and fall to help Manual get out of the region. He was on a level to himself until the injury. You hate this for any senior.
  14. Maybe it's time to scrap the system and do what they did in Indiana this year, which is let kids transfer wherever they want with no penalty.
  15. 7. Ballard 5. Jeffersontown 3. Anderson County 2. Grant county 1. Moore TB Ballard
  16. Jenkins did not play in this game nor the loss to Bullitt East. Seneca led for most of the game with Manual hitting a last second shot by Samsel with the game tied to win it. Seneca is not a top 10 team. No size and huge hole with a lack of perimeter scorers. They are competitive, just not an elite team. Nice win for the Crimson.
  17. This win didn't surprise me at all. Waggener blew out Manual earlier in the year. I wouldn't want to be matched up against Waggener in my first game of districts or regionals because if they are hot they can beat anyone. If Jenkins returns, the same can be said for Manual.
  18. 7. Male 5. Manual 3. Iroquois 2. Louisville C 1. Jeffersontown TB Jeffersontown
  19. Easy fella. I left off another Jenkins assist from the 4th. Drive and dish to Mitchell underneath to a layin. That makes 5 in the 2nd half alone. Here's some highlights including one of Samsel's kicks to Jenkins and the 75-footer by Jenkins to end the 1st. http://www.hsgametime.com/louisville/videopage.html?nvid=324925
  20. 7. Boone 5. North Hardin 3. Iroquois 2.Whitley 1. Ballard TB Ballard
  21. You're right. It is one game at a time and that date is going to be talked about. It was really good seeing Jenkins warmup, bouncing around with some excitement, dunking, and popping threes before the game. The team's confidence level was way up. Right now, its good to know we are getting back. I really like that backcourt duo of Jenkins and Samsel. They will continue to improve and hopefully make some kind of run in February.
  22. Isn't it amazing what a player like Jenkins can bring to a ball team. Its hard not to wonder how good Manual could have been in the KOB, LIT, and other games if Jenkins is at 100%. Although he only played 20 minutes or so tonight it was evident why Manual was ranked top 5.
