  1. Aww yes. Its the time of the year where rankings mean absolutely nothing. I like this time of the year.
  2. All games played at Bellarmine University.
  3. You beat Manual without Jenkins by a last second shot. Nice breakdown though. I have to agree with the other poster. Eastern has it easy. Manual is the red carpet to the 2nd round.
  4. You summed it up well, "no desire." Five schools in four years. Trinity has height and size and should be a good test for Moore. And I would assume Atherton is a good test for Ballard first round since they average 77 points per game. It should be a great event.
  5. I don't care how much you hype Atherton, it still Atherton and Moore gave up nearly 90 points to them. Mosely is a 5'10 shooting guard in the 7th region that will dribble up and shoot without making the first pass every time down if he chooses. Defense is optional.
  6. Imagine, Eastern and Ballard could play first round.
  7. I agree. I wonder when the draw for the 7th will be and will it help at all being a 1 seed?
  8. Box Scores: Manual (15-12) -- B. Bell 3, T. Jones 12, Jenkins 17, Mitchell 11, Nikolic 8, Samsel 9, Guess 2. Male (16-11) -- Hayes 8, L. Jones 7, Logan 7, Pillischafski 3, Horne 9, O. Bell 9. Glenn 13, Branch 2. 3-point goals -- Samsel, Bell, Jones 2, Jenkins 2, Mitchell, Jones, Glenn, Pillischafski
  9. Nothing worse than missing 20 games when things could have been much different.
  10. Dowe was the most deserving player. His team had a great year and Dowe was consistent. With Jenkins out 20 games, it was his to take.
  11. Highlight video linked below: http://www.fox41.com/global/video/popup/pop_playerLaunch.asp?vt1=v&clipFormat=flv&clipId1=3491782&at1=Sport&h1=High
  12. Manual leads for most of the game and holds on to win an intense game. Jenkins led all scorers with 17 points, 7 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Tre Jones added 12 points along with Miles Mitchell's 11 and point guard Samsel's 9 points and 4 assist with zero turnovers. Backcourt defense and ball control played a major role in this game as Male never made a run to regain the lead. I don't believe either Male standout guards Hayes and Glenn reached double figures.
  13. Actually, your comment is classic. Manual does not have but a few supporters if that here. The bigger classic was the comeback. St. X was playing hard-nosed basketball and coming back after being down by as much as 16 in the 3rd didn't look good. Here's a good stat. Manual committed only 6 or 7 turnovers for the entire game. One more stat that could be added to the thread about "taking charges." Jenkins took 3 of them last night.
  14. Jenkins took over and was clutch in the 2nd half. Went for 18 points in the 2nd half and made play after play to bring Manual back from 15 down. Jenkins nailed some big 3s as always, but the highlight was his drive to the goal in the 3rd. With the clock winding down with 10 seconds to go, Manual isolated him on the right wing. A wicked cross-over and then cut to the middle, Jenkins leaped over an X player and dropped a smooth finger-roll in for 2 with the horn sounding just after. Nikolic had his best game. Tre Jones hit a huge 3 in the 4th to help as well.
  15. Jenkins was doing what he would have all season long tonight. Absolutely took over the game in the 2nd half. Torn shoes and injury along with a defense keyed on stopping him couldn't have prevent him from bringing Manual back from 13. Its a relief to see such a hard-working kid get back his strength and do what he's always worked to do.
  16. Jenkins a real non-factor. Whew, put on a clinic in the second half after a change of shoes due to the game shoes being busted.
  17. I think maybe FaxisFax might want to chime in here. Nice game St. X.
  18. Actually, my comments were geared toward a continuation of the Colonel's previous posts and threads regarding the subject.
  19. You've struggled with injuries all season? Take a gander at Manual.
