Don't alway believe what you hear. Can't speak for Simpson but can assure you 4 games Buckler didn't carry ball at all in the 4th and 1 game he only played the first series in the 4 th. If your still in the game doesn't that mean you must be playing teams more competitive to your level? What ever that level may be I would think if your Class A you have Class A linemen blocking for you and if your Class 6A you have Class 6A linemen blocking for you. If your playing a team that is competitive with you I don't see how that would diminish the numbers you have put up? I would think just the opposite if your playing teams that you are blowing out you should put up some huge numbers.

Rhino I wasn't putting down BB at all. I have told everyone I think their program has come a long way. I didn't see the BB / Frankfort game. I was basing what I said on a conversation I had with the Frankfort chain crew before our game with them. My point should have been both teams were better than some were giving them credit for.

Unlike you I never said anything about being scared. And unlike you I would never put down an opponent (especially on that you said you would beat then lost to). I feel like playing Frankfort was just what Bellevue needed to get ready for Beechwood. Frankfort was the fastest team we played all year. We of course haven't seen Beechwood on a good field yet. If they didn't impress you that much then by virtue of their victory what are you saying about your team? If they are a one dimensional team. Why didn't you stop them? O it was because they pounded the ball and the other dimension came out. Let face it Bellevue didn't win this game because Buckler ran the ball 50 times they won it because Buckler ran it 50 times then when Frankfort thought here he comes again they passed the ball for several huge first downs to win the game. Get it right. Don't be so bitter. BTW Beechwood should beat Bellevue just like Frankfort should have (boy I hope that turns out the same way). Thats why you still play the games. Bellevue has been the underdog all year. They keep stepping up to the challenge and I hope they can continue to do that for a couple of more weeks. All the respect in the world goes out to Beechwood. But I'm rooting for the underdog.

Just using this quote as an example of how it seems as if most don't know what the criteria is for Mr. Football. Is there a criteria sent out for the ballots and who votes for it? Is it a career thing or is it strictly this year? Is it a team thing? Does class have anything to do with it? I have no idea what the criteria is but it would be nice to know what we are debating here.

Why? Everyone looked at the BB and Frankfort score and assumed Frankfort wasn't that good. Keep in mind Frankfort had several TD called back, had several starters out for various reasons, several turnovers, the starting QB out with a concussion, second team QB out for season, and a wide receiver playing QB. Frankfort was a very good team that could play with any class A school. Everyone seems to forget that Frankfort was ranked higher than Bellevue all year. The correct statement at least according to all the polls this year is " Wow Bellevue pulled one off".

This is the play offs. Better bring your A game. I see Bellevue as the best chance for a Cinderella team. Started the season so far off the radar it wasn't funny. Then a few actually picked Bellevue to beat Frankfort. But now we are right back to the big underdog that no one is giving a chance. I've been saying all year Beechwood is the number one team until another class A team beats them. Well its time.

Football basics: 220 yards divided by 50 carries equals 4.4 yards 4.4 yards a carry times 3 caries equals first down Enough first Downs and that equals Touchdown Enough Touchdowns and you win the game. You win the game everyone on your side has fun. Bellevue will not apologize for being a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. If someone stops them they will try something else. Just ask Frankfort. I can recall at least 2 times where Bellevue was third and long and they were able to complete passes to Alex Hegge and Nix Evans to continue drives that were crucial for the victory. There is an old saying " Do what you do best" and that is what Bellevue is doing.

I'll take Bellevue and the 399 your willing to give. Lets say the loser has to wear the winners colors to the state game. I do believe the winner of this game has a good chance of being there. As far as the not that good comment. You wouldn't be saying that if you weren't a little bit scared. No need to knock an opponent if your not worried about them.

Knowing Ricky Buckler the way I do he would be the first to say that these are all team records. If you knew him you would know he would carry the ball 100 times if it meant the team would get a victory. He would also be happy with no carries as long as the team won the game. The boy is 17 years old in perfect health I don't really see what the big deal is if he's not hurt. As far as your comment on they got him or he got the record referring to the amount of carries he has the previous record holder had a lot more caries then Ricky has.

I would have to agree if your son is capable of playing at a D-1 school you should put them in the best position to make that happen. If that is what they want. Lets face it the academics are pretty good too.

I think lately the trend has turned. For awhile it did seem as though the big stars came from elsewhere. But if your the best you want to play for the best. Most of the kids from outside of Fort Thomas that went on to play at the next level wouldn't have had the same opportunity or exposure at a school other than HHS.
