What the heck? I went with the underdog. I have been all year and my team is out now. Go Hazzard.

I know a lot of people aren't going to agree. Beechwood LCA Mayfield Hazzard Now I will explain. The reining State Champion is Beechwood. They are playing very well. They are still improving each week. The others are great teams as well. I've been saying all year Beechwood # 1 until another class A team beats them. No one has for quite some time. Just my opinion.

Congratulations to Beechwood Tigers. What a program! What a Coaching staff! What tremendous athletics they have. The team speed was just ridiculous. The offensive speed didn't shock me, I expected them to score. What impressed me the most was the defensive speed and the way they flew to the ball. No way Bellevue simulates that in practice. I know I said after playing Frankfort last week I thought Bellevue was ready for the speed of Beechwood but as fast as I thought Frankfort was it wasn't even close. As for my Bellevue Tigers, thanks for the ride. You went from a team so far off the radar in preseason no one even mentioned your name. By the play offs you had all the fans believing in you and being a top class A team. You have improved the entire year and should be very proud of the season you've had. Congratulations to the coaching staff on a great year. Thanks to Coach Eckstien for not only teaching our boys football but for setting a fine example of how to be a man. One good thing is I'm still rooting for a Tiger to be State Champions! It's just a red and white tiger. Go get'em Beechwood and bring the State Championship back to NKY with you again.

We're not that far apart. I never said people are crazy for thinking BW could win this game. They are and have been ranked ahead of BV all year. BW is the reining State Champs and until beaten they are in my book the number one team in the state. If BV wins this will have to be the biggest upset all year. Bellevue wasn't even ranked going into the year. As I have said before I hope and believe Friday is the night.

I bet he plays if at all possible. Tough kid with a lot of talent. I hope it's not that bad. Hope to see you on the field Friday Night Joe.

Ok futurecoach I will play, When I said "No way the Tigers win by that much" I was referring to the Bellevue Tigers. LOL. Just a play on the names. I guess I need to explain that to you. When I ask "On what basis?" this is because I am interested in reading what others think about our team and what they think about our opponent. I usually only ask this of new posters or posters whose opinions I respect from other post they have made. I usually make the comment that if that is just the way you feel I'm OK with that. Note to you I don't ask you "On what basis?" any more. I don't believe BW will shut BV out. I think most people that saw the way BV drove the ball on BW the first game would have to believe BV will score at least a couple of times. That would mean that BW would have to score at least 7 times to win by 5 TD's. The most BV has given up is 36 and that was in the first game of the year. Even if BV gets down early I don't think they will be willing to abandon their ball control offense until the second half at least. This will mean that they will eat up the clock thus limiting the time for BW to score. I believe BV will win based on the fact that they average scoring more than BW and they average giving up less points than BW. Just the facts sir. Just the facts. I realize BW schedule is a lot harder than BV so the number may be a little skewed. Sometime you just have to Believe in your team. After watching BV at Frankfort last week It became obvious that these kids on Bellevue's Football team Believe in each other. I honestly think these two team are as close as two teams can be. Either team could win in my opinion. It will come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes and who whats it the most. All yea and who Believes.

Your right I should have said the two 70 yard + runs that Rigdon had (that just happened to end with crossing the goal line). The original post was meant to be tong in cheek. Didn't mean to catch a nerve.:banana: Beechwood is a great team. Bellevue just has to be better Friday night.

If you read the post I was referring to the yardage not necessarily the TD. Maybe you call 70 yrds a cloud of dust? :idunno: Maybe you should read twice, and not be so defensive.

I missed the cloud of dust. It must have risen out of the swamp. Thats where they played the last game. Take the two 70+ TD's (no 3 yrds and cloud of dust there) (maybe smoke) that Rigdon had and BW didn't have a lot of yards. I'm sure they will do better on the turf though. On the other hand Bellevue may just be able to get footing and keep from over running Rigdon when he runs that Draw or Trap play up the middle. Only time will tell.

As all good teams do. Beechwood should win. Or maybe not. In your opinion would Bellevue have put up a few against Eminence?

Frankfort had excellent all around team speed. If Beechwood can match that they have a chance. What am I saying chance? They are the favorites. Poor little Ole Bellevue will have to come up with a way to contain all the speed of Beechwood. If they don't it will be a long night. When they do. :dancingpa They win.

If you like the Underdog come see Bellevue at Beechwood. Should be the most competitive Class A game. Beechwood and all it's tradition is well know, they have an outstanding QB in Riggdon a couple of real good running backs and great team speed. Bellevue has the States top Rusher in Ricky Buckler, an excellent receiver in Alex Hegge, and a pretty good defense as well. This should be a great game. Starts at 7 O'Clock.

I think there is a difference in feeling it and saying it. Give respect to your opponent. Beechwood has earned the respect. They are State Champs until another class A team beats them. Which I hope and Believe it will be Friday. If you don't believe you can't win.

VoR I think you've got the game plan. Execution is the name of the game now. I think this game will come down to just that. Which team executes their game plan and makes the least mistakes. Turn overs could be the difference.

I think Frankfort had better over all team speed. Speed kills. I don't think Bellevue played their best game. But I'm not making excusses I think Frankfort played well.

I have to agree The Tigers Roll.

I believe Mike Sutkamp still hold the national record for carries in a season at 487 set in 1981. All 4 Sutkamp brothers were great football players and good people.

State record is 57. But I would think 60 in a offense like Bellevue's 3 yards and a cloud of dust is possible.
