I'll agree it is debatable but Rick is the only coach to take three different colleges to the final four, he has a championship ring, and has produced many secessfull college head coaches. Thats why I say that he's the greatest.

What other coach has taken 3 Different College teams to the final four? Pitino ranks third among active coaches with a .756 in NCAA tournament games. So how could you say that he isn't a top coach in the NCAA?

No matter if you hate him or love him, Rick Pitino is by far the best Coach the NCAA has ever seen.

No the Ray Correll Bowl is always played at Somerset High School. However Pulaski County and Southwestern never play each other in this game because they are obviously in the same district. I could be wrong on this but I think that Pulaski and Southwestern alternate every year on playing Somerset. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As a timekeeper for both sports, I would agree that football does in fact hold a slight edge over basketball for being the most popular sport around the Commonwealth. Football does have more of a crowd weather it be just a non-district game or district game the fan base is always there. Now in Basketball you might get 200 people from both schools in the gym if it is not a rival or district game. (depending on what school you support)

I just can't see Coach Woods leaving Wayne Co. at all. Remember this is just a rumor. I just passed it along to see if anyone else had heard the same.

I agree that money talks, but you have to look at what you have to deal with. The senseless parents, an unfaithfull administration that doesn't support your decisions and let the parents take over...need I say more?

Agreed 150% when you have these high caliber players they didn't need a coach to tell them what they needed to do they already knew, all Tubby had to do was act like he was coaching on the sidelines. The players did the rest. So in saying that, I think that Rick has the mastermind behind the 1998 Championship. I mean after all who did Tubby bring in? Saul Smith?:lol:

Why would Jackson even think about leaving Lincoln Co? I mean Boyle Co. has gone through 3 Head Coaches in a years time. I mean I could be way wrong about this but why would he go to a school where the natives are restless as opposed to staying at a school that is glad to have him on their staff?
