It is, the Beechwood Cov Cath game is at 6:00. The KHSAA web site and this mornings Enquirer have it backwards. This from Beechwood High Schools morning announcements; DISTRICT BASKETBALL GAMES: will be held this week at Holy Cross. Our Boys Varsity Team will play at Holy Cross today at 6pm against Covington Catholic. Our Girls Varsity Team will play at Holy Cross today vs Notre Dame at 8:15.

3 official crews call it, 2 official crews hardly ever. I'm guessing coaches proabably are keen to this.

Ryle @ Notre Dame Predictions
Bleachercreature replied to ckshockey's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Sure fire lock is that I will again not win split the pot and paNDA will provide us BGP'ers with superior photos under inferior lighting conditions (NDA's gym). Good luck to both teams, but I like the home team in this one by double digits. -

I don't miss the Kentucky Post so much when I have paNDA for free with my BGP's membership. The young ladies from Blessed Sacrament singing our National Anthem were priceless, and though it's one of my favorite songs, hearing kids sing it makes it sweeter. Well done B Sac Eagles, we win again in that gym! -

I can see Rowan County having something to say about that. -
Rules Question?
Bleachercreature replied to Bleachercreature's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Case closed, I have my answer. The official did have the right to forfeit the game per NFHS rules, which KHSAA abides by in a league governed by KHSAA rules. We were led to beleive that the officials could only suspend the game. The rules state that if the team which won by forfeit was losing at the time of forfeit, the score would have been recorded as 2-0. -
Rules Question?
Bleachercreature replied to Bleachercreature's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
It was not a high school game and the result is history, though it's stated that KHSAA rules prevail. The game in question was continued and finished the next day. It's over, I'm just trying to find out for a fact what the rule or rules are and that is all, trust me. -
Hypothetically speaking of course, because teams and names don't or won't matter now, I just need to know for my own peace of mind. Let's say for example a head coach gets back to back technical fouls and is ejected from the game and the gym but then refuses to leave the gym, in a league governed by KHSAA/NFHS rules. Upon being told that the game will not resume unless the coach in question leaves, the coach then pays admission to the game and states that he is there to watch a relative play in the game which they had just been ejected. What are the referee's options according to the rule book? What say you referee's, what should and would you have done in this case? What do the rules say?

I always say the hardest part about being Christian "is being Christian" 100-0 is living proof of that. -

Great sportsmanship by both teams in this one, it was actually quite refreshing. Kudos to Campbell County's band too. Nice to here our National Anthem played live and played very well! To the young Camel fan with the big hair. That was off the hook! You sir have major game! -

Notre Dame has a dance tomorrow evening which could impact the Colonel cheering section to some extent? Time will tell, but I know where I would be tomorrow night and it wouldn't be on Beechwood Road if I was fortunate enough to have options. Hey Beechwood Fan can you pull some strings and score me a couple tickets? Good Luck to both teams especially the Red and White one. -

Holmes has the 35th this year. Unless the rotation was changed due to Beechwood moving it to Holmes last year. Tigers by 12 -

A great game, well played by both teams! Rowan is a top 25 team, easy. The NDA Panda M.A.S.H unit played well too, they'll be there. I guess if you want to digest your injury bug it's best to get it through the system in December rather than February and March. Go Pandas! -

Volleyball season starting soon!
Bleachercreature replied to lp1's topic in KY Volleyball (High School)
NDA is underconstruction. AC and locker rooms are being added to the gym. My understanding (could be wrong) they will not be playing home games at NDA this year. The hope is the gym will be ready for basketball.... I won't hold my breath. :thumb: -
A change from Districts to Conferences?

Love the N Ky Divisions, you got game! I'll venture to guess most of the rest of the Bluegrass has no idea what Geotta and Skyline could be? -

Beechwood Has a New Volleyball Coach

I would love to see that conversation, as I know you would too. My guess is that Chris just let out a 120 decibel whistle, and surely has a big grin on his face.
