  1. Well done KiKi, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Scott Eagles.....
  2. I'll take the Bulldogs, believe me that assures the Colonels from Park Hills a great chance.
  3. The Kids, the kids, the kids! Coaches get their due, right and wrong, let the kids have the spotlight for the short amount of time that they're all there. That's what I go to watch. It go's fast, this season sure seems like it did.
  4. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=145776 This thread
  5. From each division and there are three, big = Division 1, medium = 2 and small = 3. Check out the boys thread, I'll try to link it.
  6. I saw Ryle play earlier this year and am not surprised this happened at all. I missed most of it the night we played Ryle. I was watching the kids play, it was my daughter that brought the fans/parents to my attention. I sat behind a few Ryle parents that were great, they asked about our kids and our school, this is the classic example of a few bad apples, just like Eric Stratton's speech in Animal House. I can see going after the officials at times but the kids and coaches should always be off limits, especially if your intent is to disrupt. Get em out of the gym, they can know it all at home, they don't need to be around my kid, your kids or any of us!
  7. From NKY.com Officials from the Bank of Kentucky Center are set to announce that the new arena will be the state’s largest venue to host a regional high school basketball tournament. The 9,400-seat arena, which will open later this year on the campus of Northern Kentucky University, will host the Ninth Region boys’ and girls’ basketball tournaments beginning in 2009. Area high school athletic directors, who have worked on the arrangement with arena officials for more than a year, say it is a three-year deal. 8. Congrats to the Birds. Just curious did the crowd stay and watch the girls play?
  9. My guess it is the same teams you see in the NKY polls, the 9th, some of the 10th and one from the 8th.
  10. I see on the boys thread that the Northern Kentucky Coaches Association - All Conference teams were announced this morning. Is the same true for the girls and if so, does anyone have the list?
  11. Ludlow 47, Villa Madonna 40, District 34 at Ludlow: Ludlow led throughout, but Villa managed to close the gap in the fourth quarter and tie the game. Ludlow eventually pulled away behind junior forward Ashley Daugherty's perfect 5-for-5 shooting at the free throw line down the stretch. Daugherty finished with a game-high 25 points and was 13-for-15 from the free-throw line. Villa was led by sophomore forward Chelsea Case with 12 points.
  12. Looks like they had a packed house minus two at the end? It's great to see people come out and suppport the girls too.
  13. 52 yeahs to 12 nays the yeahs have it, the KHSAA should step in make it uniform!
  14. It is Richard Skinner's column, or one half of The Angry Guys.
  15. 34th, 36th draw 31st, 32nd, 33rd, 35th, 37th seeded, as it should be
  16. For the life of me, I can never remember getting in the car after a game and saying, "Gosh Honey wasn't that game well officiated", even if it was, it has never been said and never will be. I hate to say it, but it is what it is, it just is.
  17. Three of todays top eight won't see the 9th region tourney. Makes the 33rd, 35th and 36th district tournaments quasi-huge this season, eh? REGION 9 1.Notre Dame 91.8 2.Boone County 89.0 3.Conner 86.0 4.Highlands 83.6 5.Newport Catholic 77.7 6.Holmes 77.2 7.Ryle 77.1 8.Covington Holy Cross 73.4
  18. Great Pics paNDA! 44# for Ryle, eigth grader wow, she could turn out to be scary good if she isn't already. As for school closings, some of us here in the tri-state as well as our schools have been whipped into a panic to many times by, The Storm Team, The Power of 5, The Weather Authority and every other cornball marketing mechanism they use to get the viewing public to rush to Krogers to buy all the milk. I must admit it was nice driving to work Tuesday on mostly empty but totally passable roads, but the kids should have been in school, and the balls should have been thrown in the air! It wasn't even a snow day, it was a slush day. C'mon look out the window, that still works.
  19. Thanks, so Beechwood is hosting at Holmes and the paper work comment on another thread was erroneous?
  20. Any of you connected crazies have the official inside scoop as to why Beechwood passed on hosting the 35th District this year, other than they didn't get their paperwork filed (seen on other threads) so Holmes picked up the games? They Beechwood, have hosted both boys and girls in the past? Do the participating schools in the District split the gate evenly? Does the KHSAA get a cut? Maybe you can't sell enough bottled water for a buck and Twizzlers to make it, make sense? At least everyone is assured a nice cozy bleacher, eh?
