  1. Lawnboy is this your first go around with travel ball as far as fast pitch is concerned? If so what are your thoughts so far.
  2. Best of luck, should be a trip the girls remember for a long time!
  3. Those academies have literally nothing to do with kids transferring around from school to school for sports. They are probably the best thing to happen to Kenton County students in a long time if not ever.
  4. If the first part is about a kid from NKY I totally agree. I'd be shocked if he was at HC. I heard the same about another kid from Cincy.
  5. Good luck in South Carolina, hopefully you guys get to play in front of some coaches. This is is a big weekend for showcase tourney's. There is the Demarini in Chicago and the Legacy in Atl. Both will have upwards of 100 coaches. In the Demarini they only have around 40 teams and the 16 and 18U's play together and all the games are at one complex. We are there this weekend, wish my daughter could have played in it 2 years ago. The 18U Sluggers will be at the Demarini and our team plays them Friday morning. The 16U Sluggers will be at the Legacy.
  6. Nice job by both teams, best of luck today. Many college coaches there? I know in the past some coaches bounced back and fourth between Stingrays and this tourney.
  7. Congrats to all the young ladies!!
  8. This is one of your better posts ever Lawnboy. I totally agree.
  9. Well you said coaching girls has to be the worst job in America then went on to talk about little susie, so? If that happened the school should have step in and removed that parent from attending any more school games and if he didn't agree then they shouldn't let his child play. My guess even though it was wrong not to many parents were upset bc they all felt like doing to the same thing. Regardless that shouldn't happen. I agree with you that the girls deserve better.
  10. I did say seldom, and also just bc you win doesn't mean you are a good coach. I know nothing about Beechwood baseball and really don't know much about Ryle softball other than the little I have seen. I do know Ryle has major problems with some of its top players and some choose not to play, and some are talking about leaving. I would think a good coach would find away tp work and get through these problems more times than not. This isn't AAU or some type of summer team where it is pretty easy to just jump ship. Coaches have problems with parents and players at every level including college and in the pro sports. I know a major college softball team in the state that has real time trouble with a parent. So much so they use the word "hate" and other things that I can't post on here about this parent. It has no effect on the team. And if you have a team with the inmates running the asylum then I would say you have some problems either with the coach or the admin and the parents.
  11. Wow are you new to HS sports? Just about every football team has way more drama than any girls team. Sit in the stands for about 10 minutes and you will know what I am talking about. Baseball and Basketball are right there too. So I guess you are another one of those people that blame everything on the parents. GOOD coaches very seldom have problems with parents. And I guess you are talking about when St Henry's best player was held out in the biggest game of the year after she had been cleared to play. Yeah those evil parents , they had no right to be upset. I can tell you Holy Cross has all kinds of problems with there coach and none are about where little Susie plays.
  12. Blame Lawnboy!
  13. Run a program in the ground then leave, softball in NKY!!
  14. We will get to the coach later. Now who is the score keeper, Lawnboy or BGH. If BGH does it we are more likely to recieve more votes across the state and would surley have the whole team bat will over .500. Most his team does now!! Lawnboy is more like FOX NEWS fair and balanced.
  15. We will let you decide!
  16. I really don't know enough of the girls in NKY to do a list. I do have a couple players to add for your consideration Lawnboy. Sorry do not know everyones name. Erica Lang, SK 1st baseman from NDA SS from Beechwood Kirkwood from ST henry (may have been a senior this year) Are we including Gallatin Co bc they possibly would have a couple. Who are Dixie's top players?
  17. Maybe since they are both fish eating schools, HC and ST Henry can combine and have a team!

I hope the KHSAA doesn't review this thread!

So it sounds like we have 3 infielders and a very good pitcher, all 3 infielder's could catch if need be. Wow the team is shaping up nicely. At this rate we could even have HC's coach as the coach. Never mind he would want his grand daughter to catch. Who else is in? Lawnboy your up, get off that hill!!

I agree Lawnboy, a NKY super team to fight off those evil WKY teams. Lets make it happen!!
  21. From the reports I heard she was a little better than solid. Came through in several games when her team needed her. Nice job Hannah!

I think parents should do whats best for their kids. Yes Ryle wins but at what cost, this isn't one or two people being unhappy it is several that we are aware. I am sure some people love Steve and Patti and some don't, jsut bc you or other people do doesn't mean the people that don''t are wrong. I like hearing both sids , makes me feel good!!
  23. Sneaky Cleats are a good program, we have played against them in nationals before.
  24. So how did everyone end up in the Sparkler?
