Not sure the answer. To me it seems like HS softball has it worst than other HS sports. I can only speak for my daughter but she played at a pretty high level of soccer up until HS and I am pretty sure she could still play in college at some level but she loves HS soccer. I think she wants to love softball in HS but it is hard at HC bc of the things you mention plus others.

Brittany Gray she is a 2014 from somewhere just south of Indy. No idea about her school other than she is like most travel ball girls and doesn't enjoy it much at her school. She has the size and is very athletic, she only usually pitches and hits for us but she would be a very nice 1st basemen. I think she may be a better hitter than pitcher and she throws the ball around 68/69.

Beverly Bandits lost late last night to the Corona Angels 2-0. Finished tied for 5th out of 48 teams with an 8-1 record. Good week I am sure the girls wanted another win or two but it happens sometimes. We played without our #1 pitcher all week (Georgia commit) and she is one of our better hitters also. She did hit some but wasn't the same.

Nice job by the Sluggers, long week but I am sure it was worth it.

Beverly Bandits won first 2 in bracket play today. In the final 8 play the Corona Angels in about an hour. If anyone is bored check out the Angels website for their commitments. All right so where are should everyone go. I say Dixie or Boone. Sounds like we have Steinle, Smith and Moran. Any one else want in? Can seniors transfer in the middle of the year. Moran no way would leave before the soccer season is over. I guess I need to start looking for apts!!!!

Doing real well, didn't play the last game. Had the #1 seed locked up and they played the uncommited kids so she sat out.

Beverly Bandits beat the TX Glory 15-0 today. Have the #1 seed and play at 11:30 tomorrow. Need to win 3 games tomorrow to stay in it. It is a one and out.

I should have just went, I spend more time getting updates than I do working. 5-0 beat the Batbusters today 6-2. Hear the Louisville Sluggers are doing real well in the Firecraker also.

Porky, I agree, when I said that comment I was meaning more that she could play for coaches that are tough. I don't know all the details about Ryle so it would be hard to say for sure. One thing for sure, if it was best for the team and the team was good I would be fine with it...not saying that is the case here I have no clue. When Maddy came back from her injury HC's coach told her she was going to play outfield bc it wasn't fair to the 7th grader that had been playing there just to lose her spot. What can you do? It only lasted about 3 innings bc the girl had several errors. I guess, I would love to be able to try some different for HS, She loves HC and loves the soccer program the softball program the last couple of years has been real bad and what's worse the girls don't enjoy it.

I agree the practice should have been cancelled. Most kids now a days play a lot more games outside of Khsaa than they do for. Summer ball if they cancel it cost them money. In HS if they practice or play in it, it is possible it would cost them money.

Beverly Bandits are 4-0 so far with wins of CA lady Magic, Tampa Mustangs, Carolina Elite and East Cobb Bullets. Have the Batbusters and TX Glory tomorrow, both are heavy hitters in the travel ball world.

I understand that but 100 is a 100!! The girls out there could be in it for 8 to 10 hours compared to a 2 hour practice.

There are 10,000 plus girls out in Co this week playing in 100 degree heat and wildfires everywhere. That being said cancel practice!!

I agree, I am sure they are not perfect but I would have my daughter play for them.

I would think that everyone that gets on a message board realizes that there are 2 sides to every story.

I have had almost no dealings with Oliverios and very seldom been around them. But the couple times I have been around them I didn't like some of the things I saw and heard. Just my two cents
