I don't know why, but they haven't showed up since the Scott Co. game. BORING! I hope the kids show up to support their classmates soon.

Who wouldn't want to be a part of UK if you had the opportunity. I'd take the front row seat and the experience any day if it was presented. I don't believe anyone said that he would start BUT he is talented and could be developed. I'm sure the weight guys with the cats could bulk him up. Lord look at us now, we start a walk on Coury for most of the games and I'd take Setty over him any day of the week. If you heard John Pelphry's comments on the news last night, he firmly stated that he definitely wasn't the most athletic or talented college player but he gave the team his all because it meant something to him to play at Kentucky. In my opinion, UK needs more players who actually CARE about the tradition of the program and are willing to bust their butts to bring it back to glory. I belive that Trevor Setty would definitely bring his heart to the floor any time he sat foot on it. Good Luck Trevor wherever YOU decide you want to be!

I think Cov. Cath's cheering section is the best I've seen all year. I think that Mason Co has the wrost one I've seen in a while. Especially for what they have to cheer for.

I heard he was going to UK with Darius and that is why Billy G. was in the house last week. Possibly walk on the first year then maybe be on scholly.

Great! :thumb: Here's a few design tips to keep in mind. 1. Make sure there is room to WALK BEHIND the team bench. 2. Put an aisle in the middle of those seats if you choose seats, so you don't have to walk over a row of people to go to the bathroom. 3. The big wall on one end is wasted space. Put seats there. 4. Build it bigger. Then no one can complain about the possibility of not getting a seat.. 5. Pretty potty seats are nice if you can get in the door to see them. If you do this stuff then maybe we won't have reason to complain down the road in the future.

It is the same schedule they had last year. The girls finals will be played on Saturday night in Alexandria.

I hope you are right but that is what I was told by an athletic director this week. I asked the dates.

Does everyone realize that if the tournament is set up like it was last year, with boys games in the afternoon on Saturday and the girls finals on Saturday night, if your school happened to be playing in both it would be a 2 hour drive to get from one game to the other? With gasoline prices the way they are just how many people do you think would do this? Which tournament do you really think is going to come out on the bottom end of this deal? Another example of poor planning if you ask me to put the 2 tournaments on opposite ends of the region and then expect them to play on the same day.

Okay, I think Goldies post finally helped me figure this all out. Everyone thinks that if you pull Mason County out of the fieldhouse, you might be able to beat them. Correct? Since I grew up in region 11, not far from winchester, I might add, and haven't lived in the 10th region all my life, I did not realize that there was so much animosity towards Mason County. Since these figures everyone is quoting only goes back 30 years, let's have some grand totals, like in the history of the tournament. Anyone have any?

I really would like to know why you would schedule a game like this one on senior night. Give the kids a break on their night.

If size does not matter, I vote for Mt. Olivet. Im sure Deming has never hosted it before either, they have a good little team this year. They have never hosted it before. Maybe they should be given a chance at it. People in Mt. Olivet could use the money too. If size does not matter the first ones there can get in the gym. Everyone left outside can listen to the radio. Maybe they can go eat somewhere or buy something at some of the stores. It is a central location to everyone. Everyone will not have to drive as far as high as gas is. This is just a thought. This seems to be the feeling of some people. Let's make sure we all eat and spend money in Mt. Sterling to help these people out this year.:ylsuper:

Okay, I haven't posted my much loved opinion on here about this whole questioning of a kids age yet so here goes. I've read posts questioning the King twins age at Deming and if they were held back or not. I've also read posts questioning Russ Middleton's age where someone had even been on his myspace page. So my question is WHAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE? With the price of a college education increasing every year the way it does, if a parent believes that their child has better shot at a scholarship by staying back a year then so WHAT? If you've ever seen the t.v. commercial stating that the percentage of NCAA athletes go pro in something other than sports should explain it all. FREE EDUCATION. I believe Russ Middleton has already secured his and I hope the twins do as well!!! If I seriously thought my kid could receive an athletic scholarship playing water polo if they were held back a year, I'd go for it.

That would be fine. As I believe that place will hold about 10,000. It is fine to go up but I just can't understand the logistics of going backwards.

That's a fire hazzard. If the big guy shows up, that won't be allowed.

Haven't quite made my mind up yet. I'm not much on wasting gasoline at 3.00 a gallon to be turned away at the door and I've seen first hand on MANY occasions just how many turn up for the finals. PLUS I don't know If it would be fair for my big butt to take up a seat that a parent, a teacher or most importantly a KID should be sitting in.

Too much emotion in that place on Friday. I'll pick the defenders in a close one. I hope I'm wrong but that's my opinion.

Sorry to disappoint you folks, but I DON'T LIVE IN MAYSVILLE, I didn't GO TO MASON COUNTY and neither did my spouse nor does my 16 year old child. I don't own a Royals shirt and the only BLUE I own is UK. But I do attend the tourny every year and I'm just stating facts. Pure, plain and simple!
