I don't think anyone has compared him to the current Lofton, all comparisons I have seen were from when Lofton was in High School. At which time high level D1 schools were not exactly knocking his door down.

As far as faiths based in violence. More people have been killed in the name of god than for any other reason. Not saying Christianity is based on killing. But that don't change the fact.

That may very well be true. However, (and I'm not taking up for him because I have less than a good opinion of him or his coaching), I believe that he has always done the best he knows how. Is that right in manys eyes? Probably not. But, as an Elliott fan who is not a supporter of his I honestly believe (right or wrong) that he has never tried to humilate anyone, and has coached to the best of his abilities. Does he play his starters to much? Absolutely! Has he always done that? Absolutely! Was it an issue until he had talent that give the beatings that they usually recieved?

I'll go on record saying that yeah, the baby boomer generation and gen X are spoiled. Even though most of the baby boomers will not agree,( some appropriately.) Any member of said generations that think for a second that they are as mentally or physically tough as the Greatest generation need to check their egos at the door. As a member of Gen X, perhaps the cockiest, most spoiled generation. I say, don't disregard things your grandparents say, espiecially when it involves how easy you have it! Your grandpa might be old, but I'll gaurantee that when he was your age he would have put a beatdown of biblical porportions on you. And then had the respect to have not disrespected you about it.

I'd say your right, muskateer alum. It don't get any worse than when the 16th's "old money" quit playing a certain team. A team that I might add EC played, took their lumps and then didn't come running to BGP and cry about scores being ran up.

I'll just add, if required wear your headgear, wear it.. Also, the ladies notice nice straight teeth and the pretty smile they make possible. I can't count the times I've been complimented on my smile and/or teeth by females!

Must be that the coach you speak of is a newbie, otherwise they would have had endless opps. to pound on Elliott. And again, don't blame the kids or the fans for the trangressions of one.

Was there this much crying by everyone when Mason held it?? Give someone else a shot for crying out loud. Might just be that fans from other teams, players for other schools, and parents of other kids might like to have the tourny in their backyard!

Elliott has taken more than their fair share of beatings in the past. When these kids graduate, it will be more of the same. As for teams gunning for them, they are doing that now... It's more the fans of other teams holding the kids at EC liable for their coaches short comings... Hardest working kids you will ever meet, also some of the most polite and respectful young men I have had the pleasure to be around. Just because one man does things others don't agree with, doesn't mean people in the know (area coaches) will exact revenge over a few years with some excellent ball players.

For what it's worth I came across it from one of Elliott's players. He was listed as a friend on one of Elliott's players. And no, everyone on EC is age appropriate.

I'll make this post then say no more on the topic. Ask a veteran their feelings on this topic.

I agree with FBall. East has the size to match up with RH. Also, are physical enough that RH won't make a living on second chance points. After watching Evan Faulker push Euton around like he was on skates in the 2nd half of the Elliott game, I just don't see RH beating East. JMO

Yes, they will chew on a greenbrier likes it candy...........at the right time of the year. Trust me.... whitetails eat way more browse in the spring and early summer when shoots are tender than they do when things dry out and browse gets tough and hard to digest. Whitetails are like people they eat what tastes good to them. Don't believe me ?? Plant your garden beside a patch of clover or soybeans and see how much deer bother your garden. Point is deer around here have options in late winter and don't have to yard, In years of poor mast they may congregate in areas of food but they do not "yard" like deer in Northern climates

It's easy for fans of Mason to laugh off Elliott and not take them serious..People on here love nothing more than to slam Elliott..My statement is, Remove 3 out of every 4 players from Mason's team (as per enrollment numbers) And see how they stack up with teams across the state. Is Elliott a premier team in the state?? No.. Are they a team that for their enrollment size is doing things extraordinary?? Absolutlely!
